lol nick youre right of course.
but the funny thing is that the free coins were only made available for a very short amount of time (im geussing it was maybe december of 2010 when they introduced it).
People always complained about the fact that coin users had an advantage, and maybe theyre right....but the truth of the matter is, haypi is and always has been (minus a few short weeks when they charged for the game but included a coin bonus equivalent to the price) a FREE game. what with the workload required for such a popular and heavily used game, how else could haypi make their money but to sell coins, and this is a standard in soooo many free games. but essentially, coins are not necessary for anything in this game...anything at all.... and i know more players than i can count who have been competetive AND high ranked without ever using a SINGLE coin. so it only goes to show that people are going to be predisposed to complain about anything they dont like or think is unfair, regardless of whether or not they have the ability to be as good as they think coins make people.
and if i can impart any inkling of wisdom on anyone, its that MONEY TALKS and, well....thats just the way the world is, and by my reckoning always has been since the end of the neolithic era, when trade was introduced to humankind.
and yes, nick, to this day i cant fathom why haypi seems to be constantly understaffed, or why it seems like they dont put the dollars of their paying customers to better use, but hey, the game still thrives and is hugely popular throughout the world regardless of what you hear people say on these forums about quitting. most of those who threaten to quit actually dont lol
