DueNorth - Haypi Prologue Competition - "It is Mine"
Tap.. tap... tap... If the oxygen gauge is showing me the right number, I will have to go up soon. Very soon.
You look back out the view port.
“Almost there, I am sure of it. I definitely have the right location,” you think to yourself. I trusted the person at the port who gave me the information. He never lied to me before.
The newly installed engine propels the sub across the uncharted seabed. The sub’s wooden hull creaks under the intense pressure of the ocean.
“Don’t you dare destroy the sub,” crackle the intercom from the trade ship up above, “we already sold all the loot from the last outing just to pay for the upgrade.”
“Shut up, I am sure the lost relic is around here.” you shout back as you look through the view port. You can see a faint outline of the relic at a distance.
There it is. It is much like the others you have found before. With this last piece, you will finally be able to get the key to the future.
Ping... ping... ping... rings the sonar. It appears that there is another hunter sub going straight for it.
“No way, it is mine,” you say to yourself as you accelerate the sub to its maximum speed towards the relic.
“Captain!,” the intercom blurts out with sounds of the cannons going off at a distance, ”you might want to know that there are other ships around here. I don’t know how long we can hold them off. Hurry up.”
I am almost there. I should beat the other guy to the treasure. I will not let my dreams slip away. Do I have enough oxygen?
