Commanding Archer/Cav

I had a inf/cat army, but I was annoyed at the speed of the cats. I was suggested to get a cav/archer army. In the forums I have read, it says they are very hard to command. What the best way to command an army like this?

Btw I have max skills, max tech in attack, defense, march, and shooting.

Thanks! :D

If you buy a high level horse level 15 it will increase your speed for cats and cavalry are fast and archers are slower than inf but faster than catapults so I suggest using cats because they are destroyers

Cats may be strong but can be beat easily.

For a cav/arch army high numbers are required so make sure you can produce a lot of cav and archers a day.

Commanding can be difficult but it all depends on the scenario i.e numbers, blockers, tactics, what you are against, etc..

For your army it’s more about what works best to the way you want it to work.

Theres an good guide in the guide section which tells you all you need to know about cav/arch, uranos made it.

Re: Commanding Archer/Cav

Easy way is to just let archers take out meat shields and give cavalry full shot at the cats.

Alternatively archers have a higher threat range than cats so if you command correctly archers can hit cats first.

true. however, it takes around 3 archers per cat, depending on techs.

Re: Commanding Archer/Cav

But factoring in crop consumption
5 archers= 10 crop consumption
1 cat= 10 crop consumption

Archers>cats
It will take a while to learn how to command them so figure it out by trying on oasis'.
Disclaimer: I'd only use archers if your stats/tech/equip are high

i have cavs, and cat army, with archers as blockers. the archers are great, because if you command them right, they can be blockers, tht kill alot of your enemies attack. which then allows my cats to take out the rest, the next turn, and then my cavs to take the resource. if you use cats with your arch and cav, then you really only need arch if you are taking fort, or against a really strong player
