Change in Speed is Not Reflected on Infrantry Travel Time

account name: quintsquad server 3

date: I first noticed some time at the end of October. I'm only now getting around to reporting it.

what happened: I have a level 4 horse (+8 speed), and a level 2 manual (+2 speed). The Distance to a certain location on the map does not change when I remove the equipment.

other circumstances: I tested using a distance greater than 3 hours. A change in speed of 10% with a distance that great would have a noticeable impact (on a side note, the message to equip and unequip the items are the same: (Treasure equiped successfully!" I include this fact for completeness)

I have no suggestion as to why it happened. I did not test to see if the actual travel time changed.

Thanks.

I don't think this is a bug it does say theat it is an estimated value and you can't expect it to change according to you. I say you should put something in suggestions saying that we should get a better estimate or something along those lines.

I have an update on this. The distance travel time is affected by the equipment, but the travel time that is displayed does not take into account any equipment you are wearing. I tested this with my equipment off, and a target that was 10 min away. When I attacked, it gave the expected 10 min travel time. I next tested with my equipment on, with the same target. My travel time was changed to 9:30 min or so, which seems accurate without doing the math involved.

Can you say where it is said that this is an estimated value? I looked at the website, and it was not mentioned. I looked inside the app, and it does not say that it is an estimate:

On the map screen, it says
Distance: 0:00:30
After you enter the location, it says:
Distance ( Infantry ): 0:00:30
Never of those give the impression that the time is an estimate.

Re: Change in Speed is Not Reflected on Infrantry Travel Time

I have a lvl 15 horse and lvl 11 Manual and when I attack something 30 mins away ( 10 Minutes away on the estimated time screen but I attack with Cats so x3 Infantry time ) it goes down to 24 minutes.
However when I attack the same person 10 minutes away with Infantry it only goes down to 9 minutes and 10 seconds with the same equiptment.
If you work out the difference in time speed changing equiptment is more efficient when attacking with cats. Is their a particular reason for this?

Re: Change in Speed is Not Reflected on Infrantry Travel Time

After some testing, I think it is as follows:

The grid shows the time based on your base speed, which may be increased by skill points (leveling up). Thus, the grid time does depend on the player's level and on the skill points she or he spent. In contrast to skill, equipment isn't taken into account until you actually go somewhere, so the grid is independent from your equiment.
If you hunt or attack or dispatch, the equipent will be taken into account. Thus, if your grid says "5:00 (infantry)" and you go there with infantry and a horse, it will take you less than 5 minutes, depending on the level of the horse. The actual time will be shown in the red counter, which considers equipment.
