Help Evaluate Me

I'm looking for your guys' help, tips, and wisdom. Anything you got just throw it my way.

I'm a brand new player, been playing for less than a week. I'm level 3, have just under 2k prestige and still have 3 days left of protection. In my mind i've been advancing pretty fast, faster than average at any rate and currently need to reevaluate my goals.

My income buildings are going on level 9 with almost 1k hourly income in each dept. I've captured 2 lvl 3 crop oasis and own 26 cats which i've just been building up to capture higher level oasis. Main building is lvl 6 goin on lvl 7 very soon and i have more people available right now than i need. I've got half a dozen traps, no turrets because i don't have the money to research then right now.

What i'm wondering. What should i be aiming for in the short term and long term. I've been comparing my income to the screenshot you see if you scroll down on the tutorial page. I see that as a pretty high level account but could be wrong. I can see myself approaching it tho especially if i cap a few higher level oasis.

The server i'm on is pretty new and i want to become strong. Do i just keep building income and focus on taking higher and higher level oasis? What should be my focus from here on out?

read a few of these guides. they have alot of reading in them, but they will help you understand more about what you want to go for. what type of army you want, and how you are going to strengthen your army.

Thx Yodac i will take a look at the guides. Tbh tho i've read the majority of the guides on the site, even browsed to the very last page of the guides forum looking for good threads.

If it's possible instead of just pointing me to the guides where most of the stuff is the same info copy and pasted a million times could you guys actually comment on my particular case?

Your incomes, troops, and oases surpass your level; I would think with buildings upgraded that much that you would at least be level 5. Besides the general level though, your progress is relatively good, about average for active players having played a week.

you need to start focusing on building your army, and upgrading your warehouse. i would focus on cavalry and cats. also, start building traps and upgrading your trap techs.

Thx Arythy, as i said i have a few days of protection left so i see no reason yet to prematurely rank up....plus i need that nugget which i'm hoping i won't have to buy w/10 coins. When i do rank up i'll prolly go straight to level 5 so i can occupy an additional oasis.

I do actually need more money...i'm not strong enough yet to take a fort, i'm using my resources to upgrade my buildings and my daily gifts don't last long. Especially since the last one was a lame lvl 1 chest : (

Ok Yodac, those were indeed worth the read. If you were wanting a direction i would say i'm a sword/cat army guy based on the last guide. In any case i would make cats a main part of my army. I want to be pretty active and do a lot of attacking/farming.

I saw you mentioned i should start building my army and defense buildings as well. My concern is doing that premature. Should i wait until i have maxed all my buildings before i start building armies? In general, how long does it take to get your buildings maxed?
