Cav / archer army

People on my server talk about a cav / archer army being the best combo there is.

Can anyone tell me why? What stat / skill build do you want to make it effective? What are the tips / tactics for running a cav / archer army?

I run a 100% cav army right now and I enjoy it.

But I may add archers if it's a better choice.

cav/arch isnt best imo but everyone got his own opinion


maybe because of the speed of the archer, they can hit cats before archer get hitted

But don't cats outrange archers? There's a way to overcome that?

Maxed Archers have a higher range IF they move forward to hit the enemies cats. ( or thats how i understand it and it works for me )

basically with a forward movement cats have a range of 1049 and arch have a range of 1063. also because archers have a higher base speed than cats they will attack first

Great guide! Also, do you have a handy list of say, how many cav you need to take down an (x) level oasis or fort? Same with archer :/
