level 10 Turrets
To beat level 10 turrets, you need to slow down!
To explain the best, I will go over some basics.....
Cats move a base speed of 50 (50 units forward per round), when you factor in max tech in marching, they go 65 per round and then when you add gear (lvl 15 horse and manual) they go 87.5 forward per round.
Each point in speed is the equivalent to: (base speed * .01) * number of points.
So.... for cats, base speed is 50. Multiply this by .01 and we get .5 and then multiply by the number of points you put into speed and you get how much further the cats will go per round.
Now to set up the trick, you have to have max shooting tech and enough points/gear/tech for your cats to move between 98 and 99 per round, any more or less and you will lose troops.
If you have max gear and max marching, you only need to put 21 points into speed and you can take the towers with no losses! Any more than 24 points will result in losses from any turrets in the third row!
Now the breakdown:
level 10 turrets sit at 1350, 1250, and 1150 and have a range of 1050. Cats have a range of 960 and will be moving 98 per round.
Round 1: cats more forward 98 (nothing happens because cats are out of range of turrets and turrets are out of range of cats)
round 2: cats more forward 98 (total of 196)(960 + 196 = 1156, so cats are able to hit the first row of turrets) cat hit 1st row of turrets first so there are no more turrets in first row to strike the cats, cats remain out of reach of 2nd row!
round 3: cats move forward 98 (total 294) cats hit second row of turrets and wipe them out before they can hit cats, cats are still out of range of 3rd row
round 4: cats move forward 98 (total 392) cats can reach back row and clear out the final row of turrets. There are no losses!!!! (just remember to pause everything else)
******************* FYI: you will have the disadvantage fighting other players with more points in speed, but if they have max speed, then you will always have the disadvantage when attacking anyway. If you use archers against cats, you will still be able to get the first strike on their cats (assuming no archer defending) even with the large difference in speed.
