Long ago before the Earth had a moon, the days were equivalent to our present day 40 hours. This was because the Earth's rotation was that slow. There was a huge land mass where the Pacific Ocean is now. On that land mass lived intelligent humanoid beings who knew how to navigate the entire globe. No where else on the Earth was it inhabited by other people; however, there were other species of animals.
The Earth had many resources and the 8 large cities launched expeditions to mine these. Each city was in friendly competition with each other.Each city had a mixed economy more free than controlled. The wealth and k
nowledge grew rapidly in a short time. They soon had the ability to use metals, glass, quartz and was just beginning to make use of gears.
Shortly after the discovery of the telescope, the scientists from all the cities met with all the heads of the governments. The news was BAD. The whole population had about one month's time to collect what was important to send to safe storage places on the Earth. A huge metor (about the size of the states of Pluto) was going to hit the Earth. Each head of state looked through the telecopes and sadly knew the truth. Each gathered what s/he thought would be treasure and valuable history. Each made a container durable and water proof. Each sent their ship to another part of the globe to find a cave for safe storage. They all hoped one day the Earth would again be populated with intelligent beings and these beings would find their treasures.
The Earth was hit! Today our rotation is 24 hours. We have our moon made of the debris from the land that was in the area of the Pacific Ocean and the huge rock that carved out that land. That huge rock put a spin on the Earth imparting enough energy to set the rotation to 1000 miles per min. or said one revolution in 24 hours.
Now we must find the 8 treasures, which all contain a history but each contain a different mix of gems, metals and art. Most ended up under the sea as the Earth's had great shifts in it's contients.
