Haypi Prologue Competition

Welcome to our newest competition! This time we are hosting a Story Competition to write a Prologue for our 2nd game, Haypi Adventure. Every participant is required to make up a story as a beginning for the game. The story needs to be brief, touching, vivid, imaginative, and most importantly… original!

Everyone is welcome to join in the competition and you may post as many entries as you want. However, please do not simply copy any story from another site, author, or media as this will be grounds for immediate disqualification.

Brief Introduction to Haypi Adventure:
(1) Haypi Adventure is a game that integrates exploration at sea along with a seaport trading business.
(2) Every player chooses 1 of 10 ports as a starting port and begins with a level 1 trading ship and a level 1 submarine. The sub can be used to discover sunken treasure and the trading ship is used to trade for resources and treasure from other ports around the world.
(3) Each player can choose skill(s) to build up parts of submarine or trading ship, including sonar, engine and so on.
(4) The highlight of the game lies in the exploration of the seabed. Players try their utmost to collect 8 sets of different priceless relics from 8 various sites. Once they gather all 8 sets of the relics, they will get a key to open a door to the future. After that more fabulous elements will be displayed for you.

Prizes:
One 1stprize: 500USD (If we don’t use your story for our 2nd game the prize will be 200USD)
Two 2nd prizes: 100USD
Five 3rd prizes: 300 in-game coins.
Ten 4th prizes: 100 in-game coins
(The reward can be exchanged for Haypi coins with 20% bonus: if you are the first prize winner you can choose to get $500 or $600 worth of Haypi coins.)

The Prologue Competition is from Jan 1st, 2011 to February 10th, 2011, and each player needs to start a new post in Haypi Event section on our forum, and there is an example on forum as well.

Please note that all story submissions and copyrights belong to Haypi Inc. and we reserve the right to alter submissions as necessary for brevity and continuity with game design or storyline.

Example: Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess. Her father was the king of an island country. The princess had a beautiful smile and hair of sunrise gold. She had many blessings bestowed upon her including good and loving parents, grace, and wisdom. She brought so much joy to the people around her, her parents named her Joy.
There were many suitors for the hand of the princess. Dashing knights and handsome noblemen all competed for her hand in marriage. Never did any of them meet her rigid criteria. She decided to find someone with courage, wisdom, and thirst for adventure. In order to meet her demand, the old king claimed whoever can find the complete 8 sets of long lost relic of the country can get a key and whoever gets the key can be the heir of the throne and the husband of his beloved daughter.

I'm going to try this, so the example is the ideal length of story right ? I tend to get carried away, that's quite brief.
