Re: Why wont Haypi Listen to us?

The list is more of a features list rather than a game play list. The only impact to game play is city-moving. Other than that, I can't think of a single aspect of game play that has truly changed. When people look for updates to the game, they are looking for new troop types, new upgrades, new buildings, a revamped alliance system (yes I know it is coming soon....). Those are the important updates that players are looking for. Features such as glitch fixes, password resets, achievements, etc are all fine and dandy, but they don't improve the game play.

I work with developers constantly at my company, so I know the problems they face. Unfortunately it looks really bad when other iPhone games get content updates on a regular basis, while HK only gets small features and defect fixes. The HK development team shouldn't rush updates, but if they intend on keeping players interest then they better do something quick.

Re: Why wont Haypi Listen to us?

haha fixing glitches always improves game play and without such "minor" things (as i believe you view them) the game would not run as well as it does. and all the so called features have actually affected gameplay, whether its trying to reach achievements, techs being cheaper so people can get them earlier or just smoother running so people experience less problems with the server therefore maybe resulting in affects on the gameplay. they all impact gameplay they are just not as radical as people want...
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

Re: Why wont Haypi Listen to us?

If you haven't played this game since day one I don't think people even realise just how completely different Haypi was back then.

I was going to actually go into details about a dozen other massive changes that people who started without them wouldn't even have realised just how influential these changes were but it's gonna be a long essay so I will hold that off for another day when I have more time :D

That being said, it doesn't mean I'm completely satisfied with the game is by any means, there is still a ton of work Haypi need to put in to improve gameplay, but it is definitely unfair to say they haven't changed anything.

Late reply to this thread and I don't care to read the rest of the posts but...

No it's not. They had another game previously released and it's now removed from the app store.

I love seeing how many people still play the role of the puppets for Haypi, people always will I suppose. Don't worry, you'll find some of their skeletons in the closet so to speak.

* Reduced the number of cities a player can build from 1 per title to 1 per 3 titles.

* Added coin requirements for level 15+ resources, which did not require coins at first.

* Server upgrade which limited the glitch people used to duplicate treasures

* Removed friendly fort farm which caused alot of grief, added more difficulty.

* Reduced the cost of Skill points upgrades.

* Adjusted technology centre, lowered prices for upgrade but also lowered the percentage increase of certain techs.

* Limited market trade slot for players dude to overabuse of market storage, first it was 5, then back to unlimited, then back to 5 and now finally settled on 10.

* Added Moving city function, which completely revolutionized gameplay and how people earned fast prestige.

* Added reset stats and skills function.

* Added Alliance Map feature.

* Added Alliance Letter feature.

* Added level penalty suffered by high level attacking a low level for prestige.

* Added battlefield length indicator.

* Added new task for referral and offered great rewards, this was promptly abused, the reward was eventually adjusted but this marked the first mass account spamming.

* Added change password and email function, which led to a rise in account hacking.

* Completely revamped graphics (which I still don't like, the old style was much simpler and easier to navigate).

* Revamped help section, including forum function.

* Rewrote all the texts inside Haypi to clear out majority of the typos (yes there was hundreds more typos before this.)

* PVP Mode, after 1st pvp concluded, PVP was revamped to include higher starting coins, daily coin purchase limit, shortened beginner protection period and inability to use refuse war. Many more adjustments have been made since.

* Upgraded server and codes to greatly limit the glitch for duplicate army and equipments.

* Optimized codes to make haypi run smoother.

* Added the Earn Free Coins feature.

* Adjusted Hidden Attack, seem to be more effective now than before.

* Adjusted Daily Gift and Hunting to offer better rewards and coins.

* Added support for multitasking.

* Added new task for creating new account.

* Revamped the new player starting point, added new task for name change.

* Gamecentre support and achievement ranking.

There are loads more that I have missed or didn't notice, and a huge amount of bugs have been fixed since the original release was extremely laggy, buggy, easily crashed and chewed up ridiculous amount of system resources.

Haypi have come a long way and while it still needs ALOT of improvement but the gameplay have certainly evolved.

Thank you so much for your summarization! Even I myself have not made such a detailed list. Good work!

maybe you should make him expert since hes only been doing this for 11 months

Was, but I got tired of all the BS coming from them and getting stabbed in the back time and time again. Things I said though were things I personally was trying to make happen. If they wouldn't do it I did what I could to make it happen someway else.

If they dont listen to us, then they should just get rid of the whole entire "Suggestions" section in forums.
Its pointless.
