Resources in market

Ok I know that everyone is probably sick to death of ways to revive the resource market and I'm sorry if this has been suggested before and recently!
However, I know what we could do and it would fix the market for a few days at least!

Stop people from putting resources on the market. If you do this then the resources currently in the market will be bought up!
This will increase the average cost! if you did it for a couple of hours there would be a small recovery and if you stopped people putting new resources on for a whole day then it would basically revive the market!

Price minimum and maximum is determined by the average prices of that item/resource sold. The only way to revive it at this point is to buy a huge ton of resources at higher prices to increase the average price of items sold. It would be a huge effort and you would need many to do this depending on how old your server is.

Many seem to think that by buying out the market that they are improving the cost of items. This could make players blind as to what price to post, but doesn't defeat the fact that the price floor and ceiling itself is determined by the average sold.

Not entirely true! If you change the supply/demand pressures then it will change the prices! If supply is prevented then the marketplace prices will shoot up since no one will be adding more resources at a low price and all of the low priced resources will be bought up eventually! At the moment on all servers supply outstrips demand and this means no one can make money from the market!

this is a much better suggestion for reviving the market

but the chances of them doing this at all, will be like never though.
which really is a bummer.
