Noob queston on hunting

I sent an infantry unit to hunt and received a hunt successful message. Now that unit is gone and I have no idea what I gained from hunting. Does my unit die from hunting? How do I know what I gained from hunting? Thx for the help.
I did try guides first but I don't see anything explaining this. FYI

Your unit does not die. It will be returned to your barracks once you harvest your hunt under actions. You can tell what you received by the pop up immediately after your harvest or by a hunt report you will receive in letters.

EDIT: I had already started typing, clicked submit, walked back to the computer and realized ballaz already answered.

Thanks to both of you for the help! I think the part I was missing was going to the Actions section. I see there that I have the option to harvest.

Any advice on how long I should leave the unit hunting before I harvest? Does it make a difference?

8-12 hrs

For best results leave all of your units hunting for 8-12 hours. It makes a big difference.

Just a few bits of info for you;

Hunting with less than a couple of thousand troops will not suffice as a source of income, but is still imperative in keeping your troops out of harms way.

When you're hunting with multiple troop types, try to keep your infantry/cavalry separate from your archers/catapults.
The better speed, the better your chances of a good hunt. Adding slow troop types will decrease your all round hunting party speed thus lessening your chances at a good hunt.

Putting points in fortune and speed as well as equipping horses and rings will also increase your chances of a good hunt.

Note that any node (oasis) that has been recently hunted will be empty of rewards so try to hunt in nodes that are least likely to have been recently hunted.
(I tend to go for low level nodes occupied by my alliance mates that haven't been online lately or those far away from 'civilisation').
