Unsuccessful hunts

Sorry if this has been asked before, but on average how many 'unsuccessful' hunts should you expect? I seem to be getting one in every three hunts at the moment. I vary the oasises I'm hunting in, send plenty of troops, leave the hunts for over 8 hours, all things I've been led to believe I'm supposed to do, but it still happens often. Is this normal and I should just live with it?

Re: Unsuccessful hunts

The oasis was probably hunted in recently, you get the best hunts out of oasis that have not been hunted in recently ;)

P.S. No there is no way to see if the oasis has been hunted in recently, some luck is invovled.

Re: Unsuccessful hunts

You may need to just send your troops out hunting further away from other players. Look around the map for areas with no cities in the vicinity. Your hunt is not guaranteed to be successful, but your chances of success greatly increase.

Agreed on Shin-ra's post. I've found that if I go north or south, I find open territory. It appears that the system generates your first village along the equator of the game map.

Also,
Maybe someone else can respond to this, but I believe there is some validity to having a larger hunting party. The more people that go out and hunt, the more you can bring back in a successful oasis.

Yes, hunting with bigger numbers helps your hunt.

Re: Unsuccessful hunts

For some reason when i hunt in the oasis right next to me continuosly I always get good hunts. I don't know if this is just luck though so don't try it unless you really have nothing better to do.

Re: Unsuccessful hunts

In my experience, you should view hunts primarily as a way to keep your troops safe, and as bonus income, but you should never try to rely on hunts as a means of making money. There is way too much variability involved, and if you are in an area with lots of other players, the oasis around you are probably overhunted.

I would also recommend you do 12 hour hunts. The only real upside I see to hunts is that you can get treasure from them.

Re: Unsuccessful hunts

simple tips to know if you will get unsuccessful hunts..

send you troops to an oasis u wanted to hunt for 5 minutes, if it will get 100 and above, then that oasis is good to hunt...

i usually get 10k or more when i tried that.. but then again u need good amount of troops and stay like 8-24 hours to get good results..

FYI, FORtune doesnt help hunts.. been there done that.. i had max fortune in my alt. account, and it didnt do a thing..

just to make sure you dont waste your points to a useless attributes..
