New Itune account/New iTouch confusion

New Itune account/New iTouch confusion

I've spent hours reading about several problems when moving between devices/iTune accounts. I'm confused where the issue currently stands. Here's my situation.
1) I'm using a shared iTouch in my home with a single iTunes account.
2) I plan to buy the new iTouch 4, then creating my own iTune account with my credit card info. Under these circumstances, will I be able to play Haypi without creating a new character account?

If the answer is no, any suggestions on what to do? Would using the old iTunes account a workaround? (I don't want to because the bill goes to someone's credit card other than mine.)

If it is possible, how do I do this without locking myself out of the account, starving my armies and all the other nightmares I've read about?

I believe that if you get a new idevice, the itunes will recognize it as a new device and not from the previous. And when you install some apps, it will recognize that it is a new device thus making you create a new account. If you were to restore from back up, some of the game saves might transfer over and continue where you left off. However, Server based games does not transfer over and the recognizes that you have a new device. Each idevice has a unique ID and if the app recognizes that it is a new device, it will ask you to start from the beginning.

However, some server based games do have the transfer ability. I believe that if you install Haypi into your new device, it will start as new, but if you have your previous account, on the main screen, go to My account, and log in using your existing account. This should get your old account back.

Thanks! I've seen posts where they ordered coins from a different iTunes account and they never show up in the game.

I read a lot of uncertainty in your response...It doesn't seem that difficult when I think of other games I've played like Runescape and WoW. (Though RS has ZERO customer support, don't get me started)

I've invested considerable amounts of time (and some money) already and I'd hate to see it lost. Can anyone say, "Yea, I did this and yea, it works."?

you can still access this account using the my account-->login feature via the start up screen but you should make a new account first>.>
