How do I use the hidden attack skill most successfully?

Hidden attack is best used against medium skilled players.
This is because although the attack is hidden and the notification is bypassed, the player can still view the incoming attack via actions.
Experienced players are always checking their actions.
Mid level players will at least have some prestige to take when using hidden attack.
Low level players are less likely to notice the impending attack via actions, but are unlikely to have any prestige of substantial amount to take.

You should never rely on a hidden attack but it is best used in conjunction with city dropping and by no means used as a city dropping alternative.

I tend to combine hidden attack with break cranny myself as I LOVE free resources

two of the same max hidden and lvl 6 or 7 break cranny city dropping is fun but when someone attemts to starve it makes it easyer to starve someone as well.

you also should consider a higher scout tech, if you are going to use hidden attack.

There is no "Right" way to use hidden attack. Its more of just a luck skill. I find that 50% or maybe even 40% of my attacks are hidden, and mine is maxed out. Hidden is good for attacking people for prestige that they left out. The small chance that it is, hidden can help you reach your target without alerting them. Although it is more likely to fail, just hope for the best as in my opinion it is the best skill.

Combined with knowledge of the users status (online / AFK etc) a hidden attack can be very effective.

Another technique is to keep the subject busy in chat / PM whilst attacking, as they are less likely to be keeping tabs on their actions.

Hidden attack hides the troop count, even if they check the actions.

It's possible (against noobs) to use this - "I'm attacking you with 2000 cats!" when you're really hitting with 15,000. If they buy it, they'll withdraw troops to counter, where they're unable to withdraw.

If you mean "how to make an attack hidden" then no, there's no method to it.

I was posting strategies applicable to a high skill in hidden, assuming some will be hidden and the gambit pays off.
