Can a low lvl buy and use lvl 13 rings, swords, or armor?

I have a question. I'm a lvl 3 but I have enough coins to purchase a lvl 13 sword. Can I equip high lvl equipment and benefit from it or do I have to be the same lvl as the equipment to use it? Any input on this question would be great. Thx

An item always does what an item does, regardless of your level.

If you want a huge advantage from coins at an early stage of the game, get a good horse and manual. These will boost your speed. Also put all your attribute points here.

You should find you always get the upper hand in battle (your guys will shoot first) when fighting someone your lvl, or even a little higher.

i agree with Lord_Phil ^^^ and if you can afford it go for it.
in my personal opinion however, i would save the money to buy treasures so you can level because they can be hard to come by in older servers where demand is less.
