City being Threatened.

Ok, apparently I cannot move any resource out of my city because it is under the threat of attack......this is quite correct, someone from 7 and a half hours away has sent 1 catapult at me.

This surely cannot be the intention of this? because it's open for major abuse just to have 1 person in an alliance permanantly declaring war on all your enemies and it will stop them being able to move anything

Its called pinning, and yes it is a strategy.

lol its not really a strategy....I make enough units to happily "pin" the top 100.....where is the strategy in that :-s

It IS a strategy, server7 calls it locking... Its usually used in a time of war on a good branch city, then it become under attack and the city is lost. Kinda sucks lol

I used locking to steal my old alliance leaders city... it is very useful.

Locking in itself doesnt do much... Just means they cant sell anything, if you're gunna lock you gotta do it with a purpose in mind

it just smacks of abuse of a setting that admin probably didn't realise the implications of.

It doesn't effect me, as I steal a lot more resurces then I could ever lose, but its actually possible for an alliance to stop 1 person playing the game....surely that was never their intention. Also whoever heard of an attack 7 hours away, that you are fully aware of stopping you selling stuff before it arrives....maybe stop you selling stuff when you are within the last 30inutes until the attack.......but 7 hours...really?

Its like that scene from Austin Powers, when the bulldozer is coming at him....then you get a side shot and it's moving really slow from miles away

dude most people use alt accounts to lock with no speed and move them to the farthest coordinate and lock u at 15 hours. it was intentional and a game strategy that is all their is to it

but why are you locked when its 15hrs away cant they make its only locked within 2 hrs cause thats just stupid if you can locked by even one troop from 15hrs away i mean come on
