Speed Factor

I'm curious to see if someone can tell me. With maxed out marching tech, what does my generals speed need to be in order for Calv to cross the map on the first turn?

Has anyone accomplished this yet? And if so how are battles going for u when facing strong cat armies?

Thanks,

Azlo

Re: Speed Factor

With max speed, tech and equipment, my cav reach the end of the board in 2 turns. As far as I know it is impossible to do it in one turn.

Edit: I should note here that this is against lv10 turrets which make the battlefield size 1350 I believe.....

Re: Speed Factor

Max speed and marching with max equips increase cavalry speed to 825.

Field length is max range of the highest range unit in the battle + range tech + 300. This means with max shooting and lvl 10 turrets, the field length will me 1350 (there is no way to make a field length larger than this). Vs catapults with no shooting skill, field length is 900, catapults with max tech have a 960 range, leaving you with a field of 1260.

If there are no ranged units, you are looking at a field length somewhere around 400. This will make traps take up the majority of the battlefield.

As far as facing strong cat armies, timing is key. You check the field length and calculate how many moves it would take for those cats to be within the 825 range of the cavs referencing their speed from your scout (or estimating visually if you don't know their speed). Cav armies wait back to crush cat armies with a surprise jump across the majority of the field. I've taken out a large amount of cats without losing a single cav, and I am bad at quick math.

Re: Speed Factor

Almost all you will ever need to know for speed:

The most important atributes to have are speed and attack. Speed is the first thing every player should go for. Speed determines a few things:

1.Time troops take to travel on map
2.Speed decreases upgrade times
3.Higher speed allows troops to move farther up in battlefield faster
4.Most importantly, speed determines who's troops attack first in a battle

I will explain formula for speed:

Speed=100+45•30%

100 stands for max speed points added
45 stands for a 15 horse and manual
30% stands for lvl 10 marching tech

•Your speed is not maxed until all those are maxed

Defender will attack first if speed is equal, in most situations anyway.

If it is the same type of troop, such as catapult vs catapult, defender attacks first.

•Rules for troops attacking first in battle if speed between players are equal REGARDLESS of defender:

Horses>Infantry>Archers>cats

Horses attack first against infantry, archers, and cats

Infantry attack first against archers and cats

Archers attack first against cats

Cats only attack first against other cats when defending

If a troop is not In range on another, it will obviously not do damage.

Ex. If infantry are across the battlefield, obviously they cannot attack a catapult

Anything else just ask ;)
