I think u need about 400 cats (not 255 cats) for a lvl 8 oasis. Since u need 250 cats for a lvl 1 fort, and a fort has waaaay less inf than a lvl 8 oasis. (2.5k inf on a lvl 8 oasis, about 1k inf on a fort).

I just tried a lvl 8 oasis with 255 cats, and lost 44.

the way i did it was

1 Wait - kill cav (killed all 78)
2 Wait - kill inf (killed 497 of 2249, 1752 left)
3 Wait - kill inf (killed 497 of 1752, 1255 left)
4 Wait - kill arc (killed all 44)
5 Wait - Kill inf (killed 497 of 1255, 758 left)
6 Wait - kill inf (killed 497 of 758, 261 left)
7 Wait - kill inf (Killed 261, cats killed 46 of mine and i killed 94 of them)
Battle ended

Final result
I cured 2 cats
Total i lost 44 cats

I killed 2249-78-44-94

Is there a better way to do this?

Well loosing 44 cats isnt that bad

yup 255 cats for lvl 8 oasis is not enough. I tried and lost 10 cats! everyone on server 13 chat said i was dumb and that its obviously at least 400 cats for lvl 8 oasis. unless i have lvl 6 shooting. or really high attack stats.

Losing 44 cats is terrible. You didn't need to do that. I always move my cats forward on the first round, kill the cavs.
Second round, kill archers
Third, Fourth round kill inf
Fifth round kill cats
6th, 7th round kill inf while moving backwards
8th round there are some inf left which kill 10 of my cats and then all the inf die.
(Moving forward in the first round is unnecessary. But waiting from the beginning will change the order you target things. You will still kill cavs on round 1, but inf on round 2, archers round 3, inf round 4, inf round 5, cats round 6, inf round 7, and the remaining inf will reach u in round 8) Ideally, there are no remaining inf by round 8, and no cats left after round 6 or they will hit u.


Killing cats is more important than inf because they do more dmg to u.

Right now I am taking Lvl 8 oases by using 305 Cats and 800 inf. My attack is 33+ 3 attack stats. My cats kill 594 inf per round. sometimes there are 100something inf left for round 8, when my 800 inf kill them all without losses.

What do u do with all this catapults after you win the battle? Keep them there to occupy? Or call back?

Call them back and send them back out to hunt. Otherwise someone could just find your oasis, scout it, and then kill all your troops.

So what are the sure win figures with cats against the oasis. I used 60 cats on a level 4 and still i lost a couple. According to this guide 26 would be sufficient. I sent more and still i had some losses. Is there a ballpark figure where definitely, we will incur 0 losses? Like 100 on a level 4 oasis. Of course i was lazy to command my troops because i thought it was a sure win. Nevertheless, 130 cats on a level 4 Oasis is a sure win fight with 0 losses.
