what exactly determines how much prestige you get foreach upgrade?

The ppl that made this game set it for each lvl of building upgrade

the prestige u gain is quivalent to the amount of ppl u used for the upgrade. but at higher lvl, u get lesser prestige for the same amount of ppl used for upgrades and troop building. ie, at lvl12, perhaps u get 3500 prestige for training 500 cav, but at lvl18, u get only 2000 prestige for training the ame amount of cav.

I didnt know that Obelisk, I thought it was the same at all levels. Thats cool, but also kinda sucks. lol I guess I could compare with the level 18 in my server.
