Troops not following orders

Hello all,

Apologies if this has been asked before and answered, but I'm at work now and don't have time to do a full search of the forum, but my question is as follows:

Is it a glitch or am I doing something wrong as nearly every battle, in round two, my cats just refuse to follow my orders and do their own thing.

I've tested this over my last few oasis battles and the same thing happens each time:

Round one: Infantry - wait, Archers - wait, Cats move forward and attack their cavalry (i have no cavalry), usually wiping them all out.

Round two: Infantry wait again, Archers attack archers, Cats set to attack their cats. BUT, every time I do this, my Cats ignore my instructions to attack their cats and attack their infantry instead, which means their cats have a round of attacking either my infantry or my archers, usually with fairly heavy casualties.

By round three, they seem happy to follow my instructions again. Cats and archers wipe out their cats, my infantry wait again.

Round four, my cats turn their attention to their infantry and my infantry mops up what's left.

I'm guessing it is something I'm doing wrong but do just wonder why my cats have a mind of their own on round two.

Thanks for any help. If my tactics suck, which I am sure they probably do , feel free to rubbish them and suggest something better!

Sounds like your shooting tech isn't high enough. Depending on what level fort you're attacking they probably have a higher tech.

Your cats did not have enough range to hit the opponent cats so it automatically aims the nearest one. Which is the inf. Next round your cats have enough range so it attack their cats. Upgrade your range than you will see the difference.
