how to avoid peer pressure (please comment)
The first way to resiest peer pressure is by valuing your goals that you want to achieve in life more than how much you already want to achieve them. Since most peer pressure is bad, most peer pressure will have consequences. These consequens may interfere with your goals by ruining your permanent records that are kept in school. Because of one bad decision, one may have been deprived of going to a top college, making it a lot harder to achieve your goals. However, if you would have valued you goals more at the time, you would have surely knew that it was wrong to do. Valuing your goals more is only the first step that teens should take to avoid peer pressure.
Valuing your goals may be a very good step to take, but what if peer pressure won’t affect your goals? The next way teens should avoid peer pressure is by valuing themselves more than they value themselves. If teens can value themselves more, they will be able to see that what they will try to do is going to hurt them, therefore they won’t get into the problem that they will cause. Like earlier stated, most peer pressures will have a consequence, which may even include going to prison. If teens valued themselves, they would be sure not to get anywhere near prison. If teens followed these simple steps, they would be closer to facing reality, so they wouldn’t be blinded by dares and such things which provoke peer pressure.
The final thing teens should do in order to stop being bullied by peer pressure is to think everything over before doing it. If a teen is invited to do something that they shouldn’t do, they will most likely be blinded by their social rank, and would then do it. However, if victims of peer pressure would have thought things over, they would have quickly noticed that they shouldn’t be doing bad things, and that they will be punishished. Rules are made to be followed, not broken.
Teens should resist peer pressure by valuing good things more and not having any value of bad things. If everyone followed these easy steps, there would be no such thing as peer pressure, and therefore no more rule breaking, making the world a safe environment for everyone. Life could prosper with no problem at all, and no would be in the dangers of society that we have today. If we can all work to gather to stop peer pressure, we can all live in a safe environment for the benefit of the human race.
