PVP Strategies?

I thought the best way to go about pvp is to get your resources upgraded to 10 and then start building an army. But it seems like a lot of people are doing it differently, since I am now barely lvl 2 and there are people that are level 10

Is there another way they are doing it?

I heard some people just upgrade their warehouse + main building + crops to a certain amount, and then use coins for resources to get 1250 inf and 250 cats, and then they just start fort farming, and they use the fort money for upgrades/more units. Is this what the above guys are doing that gets them so far ahead? Will this strategy make them have a coin shortage in the later stages of pvp?

Well this is only my second time doing pvp,but y guess is that thet are using a bunch of coins. I am lvl 2 in pvp, but i am gaining rank in leader boards alot easier because ppl have already used up thie lr couns and i still have over 250 coins...

When everybody has no coins to upgrade past 10, you'll know you won.
