Maintenance...and attacks?

I have a major problem here..

I sent my troops out to fight a fort before the maintenance was to begin with some time to spare but my ipad was acting up so I logged out and tried to log in again...

I tried to log in 10 minutes before the maintenance was to begin but I couldn't log in again...and so my troops are now heading towards a fort without my command

What happens then? Do they keep on fighting (and I end up with dead troops) or does the time stop and begin the attack-countdown again once the maintenance is over? Also what happens to those incoming attacks?

Someone is sending their troops to attack me and they sent it like 8 hours ago but it's also during the time of maintenance...do they still attack on time or is there is 1hr maintenance delay?

That really sucks...because they literally stopped people from logging in 10 minutes before the maintenance began..so it's kinda unfair that I couldn't even control my troops BEFORE the time that they said it would begin..

It doesn't make sense why they wouldn't let people in 10 minutes before their posted time...I'm sure many people are on the same boat as me

I am sorry to hear that but server maintenance is kicked off punctually this time. Every time if there is server maintenance, we will send a server letter in advance. Please be well prepared

If this is the case, the troop will keep fighting during the maintenanace.

This just happened to me, on the plus side I got a little lucky and it was only an oasis. But I can see this being an issue more and more as haypi grows. I think that the attacks could at least freeze. I wouldn't even mind it if the cities had to freeze to keep the attacks from being wasted simply because you can't command.

I know the maintenance started on time but the major issue I have here is that it wouldn't let me enter the game TEN MINUTES before the maintenance started. That's the same as starting maintenance 10 minutes before the posted time.

I think that if they have a maintenance coming up, there should be a countdown timer (like the countdown to attacks) coming up maybe an hour or so before it begins so players remember and know that soon they won't be able to control their troops.

I know they sent out a message 8 minutes before maintenance started...but I couldn't' even log in 10 minutes before...so a 7-8 minute warning isn't enough if you aren't going to let me in to see the message!
