Re: resources output
so in your opinion is it better to upgrade all 4 of each resource equally like
crops :2 2 2 2 and iron: 2 2 2 2 or better to upgrade fully before moving to the next set
like: crops:8 0 0 0 and iron: 8 0 0 0
crops :2 2 2 2 and iron: 2 2 2 2 or better to upgrade fully before moving to the next set
like: crops:8 0 0 0 and iron: 8 0 0 0
Re: resources output
I would suggest upgrading equally, or you'll be running short of resources when you need them

Um. I'd say focus more on:
1. Crop
2. Lumber
3. Iron
4. Stone
Wood and iron can go back and forth, either or. Depends on what your making. I'd say in the beginning, focus on crop and iron first, while doing lumber and stone. Then focus more on getting crop up then iron/lumber, worrying about stone the least, because when you make anything really, stone is basically the least used resource when building your army.
When you want to farm forts, I'd say start upgrading Lumber first, then crop, then Iron.
By time then though, you should have at least all level 9 easy. (With exception of maybe stone a little lower)
When you build cats (Catapults, siege whatever) make sure you have lots of wood and iron. And remember, the upkeep for cats is quite a lot more than other units, so keep crop upgraded the highest out of all 4.
The best thing about upgrading lumber and iron before stone, is that you can sell some of your excess, and buy stone or crop, or even treasure. That's how I got 50-70k a day my first week. (But then again prices were sooo much better, and it was so much easier playing the market)

Re: resources output
I disagree.
I always have an excess on crop and run low on the other three. Crop, unless you build a big army early on, isn't very important.

You can improve your output by upgrading your technology.

Well, I started fort farming VERY early, so it depends on the player. I fort farm, and get about 3 mil resource a day and make about 50-70k a day if I don't build much.
The way I figure, is that the earlier you fort farm, the faster you'll get more resources.
Think about it for a second:
Most people just upgrade their stuff, and get oases. So their production per hour is significantly lower than someone who fort farms. Even a level 1 fort produces much more than the meager 3k/hr. Sure, you can get about a level 1's resource worth and a little change...but...that's over a 24 hour period plus some change.
I'd rather build cats and inf early on in my main city, own some people by raiding and taking their resources with Break cranny/hidden attack, while upgrading crop/lumber/iron/stone (in that order). And then make a sub somewhere remote with a couple of low level forts within 10 mins (cat time) then send most, if not all my troops to that sub owning the forts.
Rather than just attacking players and upgrading buildings.
The earlier you fort farm, the better your off.

Re: resources output
Anyone has any idea for each of the 4 resource types, at each levels to upgrade, what are the requirements?
