Hippo

I'm about to make a hippo I just need to finish leveling up flight. I was wondering what build is better for him on ladder, I was thinking Tech 2 for skill and moves Frenzi atk , boulder , thunder , & pod. Any opinions ?

Hippo is an universal-monster and those skills you chose are good. Upgrade them to +5 both boulder and thunder. If you have many rock monster on your server then i would choose poison leaves instead of thunderstorm

Thanks ! That's a good idea ill change thunder for poison leaves that will take care of both water and rock. Thanks !

I traded Penetrate for Tech-II and I can honestly say while I gained a lot of attack power with Frenzied, the monster lost a lot of utility. It just isnt 'special' anymore.

You are better off trying to get Penetrate and Iajutsu unless you already have some other plan to deal with Taunt Pewgs or Ress Scythes (or whatever else).

And even with its strong defense and being PoDed, if I cant take out that Foresight Pewg, I get 1 hit by most Epics in weather or even some offensive Legendarys with out.

yup... agreed.. better get penetrate than tech II....

i advice you to teach him poison leaves instead of thunder as it still kills water if you want and earth as an extra
