This is the only thing I could find, it mentions BL 10 but doesnt go into detalail.

Some has already been said by others but this is my take on completing barren exp. If you do have egg legendary, then it will be much easier to complete due to superior stats and talents.

Monsters

You will need a variety of S rank monsters to cover most elements. They should really be level 58-60, have advanced skills (upgraded to +2/+3 minimum if possible) and preferably have POD on at least 2 core monsters. The AI monsters are not S ranked and dont have pod but they are very highly leveled (70-80 in the latter stages) and you will need every bit of stat boost.

Fire: I highly recommend intimidate ignightmare (POD is luxury) for your fire type. Adapt draco will do more damage but intimidate is a key talent to have for the majority of physical monsters that you will encounter. If you dont have the attack down debuff from intimidate, the boss monsters with their +6 advanced skills will potentially one/two shot your monsters with ease. Also a must against fenrirs.

Plant: Pattafly with pod is very important for 10-13 and 10-15. Imo patta is much better than smiter due to superior bulk and higher attack. Speed doesnt matter since with POD and 60 S rank, you will outrun almost all rock types except for 78+ minos. The ideal skills for your patta should be pod + poison leaves (+2 minimum, +3 have a high chance to one shot all rock cept mino) + photosynthesis.

Water: I used a levi with pod with upgraded water bombs. Along with pattafly, these 2 monsters will be your core monsters that you will use on every stage without elemental restrictions. Cygness is too slow and defenses are too low imo. Oogway can be a decent substitute but levi does the job much better.

Rock: Scythe or brawny with pod. I like scythe more due to resurrect but an armor 3 brawny can also do well. Keep in mind that you cant use rock types on 10-15.

Electric: Neon, rhor or gripphion with pod will all do fine. Gripphion has one advantage over the other two due to its insane speed which allows it to cast pod first in every battle which i found to be quite good. Also gripphion have massive mdef which is very good against fenrirs.

Physical: I think flight or hippo are not the best choice for barren exp due to their slow speed and they dont get elemental STAB. They do have ok defense and access to pod + soak.

Ghost: meniss is way too fragile but verte can do quite well.

Psychic: Main problem with psychic types is that you cant learn pod on any of them. Purfection is too slow and felicity is borderline at best. However, angelos can be very good to use for intimate or unerve. Unverve will help you with the ice stages against fenrirs and intimate for the rest.

Ice: Clawpard is much better than chunky. Really usefull to have an ice type for 10-10 and 10-14. Ice attacks are also magical so they do very well against rocks.

Recommended monsters: Pattafly/Levi/Ignightmare/Scythe/Gripphion/Clawpard

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Items that you will need:
- About 40-50+ Resurrection cards (no joke)
- About 50-70+ normal healing potions (i found them to be better than jellies and simple healing potions dont work on blizzard/sandstorm levels since even if you do res from a fatal attack, the weather will still tick and kill you)
- Many jellies (for the levels that actually permit item usage, you want to be topped up after every battle)

Most important here are the res cards. The highly leveled ai monsters in sandstorm/blizzard dodges at least 60-70% of every attack. You will constantly find yourself missing your attacks and there is nothing that you can do about that other than try try again and hopefully you are lucky enough to hit next time around. Also on the stages that dont permit items to be used, equip your monsters with +10 attribute items.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Final battle tactics

For all these battles, you will need some luck with spawns. Sometimes you will get legendary minos/fenrirs spawn as the first 3 monsters before even seeing the final boss monster.

10-13: When the phoenix comes out, switch to intimidate as the sacrificial debuff. Then switch into scythe or levi.

10-14: I found this level to be very difficult due to it being a dual battle in blizzard. If you get 2 fenrirs, then it's almost a guaranteed wipe. Keep your levi/gripphion/fire type alive until the final fenrir comes out and hope for hits. Fenrir has lower defense compared to it's very high mdef so use water bombs instead of water torrent.

10-15: Same as 10-13 but have healing potions equipped on your monsters before hand. Switch into intimidate. Even with POD + intimidate, +6 laijutsu and sandstorm from mino will do about 50% to your pattafly/levi. Use soak/photosynthesis as needed and good luck!

Re: Expert bl 10 fast help plz

I found 10-10 to be the first challenging level for barren. To pass this level I used
58 intimidate ig nightmare (no pod, pod will help greatly as always)
60 pod Levi
60 pod gripphion
40 something Clawpard (couldn't wait to level it up and it only had ice beam lol)

The only use for my Clawpard was for killing the random smiters in the map. It still did pretty good damage with ice beam + mf2 to them and that way I can save my igni for the icetype or behemoth. Like I said, gripph is good against ice due to very high mdef and Levi is also good. I also tried using scythe in this map but it's risky due to smiters and blizzard chewing through rock types.

Apart from the random normal chunky/crystal/cygness/smiters, you have to find ways to deal with the first behemoth mini boss and fenrirs. (fenrir is second mini boss iirc and ofc last boss). The fact that behemoth have really low pdef, fire type and/or fire type physical moves will do a lot of damage to him. First time i tried killing behemoth without igni was a nightmare, intimidate and fire really helps.

For the fenrir mini boss/boss, you will again need a high physical attacker, preferably fire. Fenrir have incredible mdef so ice types will do much less damage compared to other elements. So try using water bomb, thunderstorm, fire blast/sfb etc. Tactic i used was to have my gripphion and ingi alive until the final fenrir and hopefully the combined afforts of those 2 monsters will kill fenrir.

Other tactics that you might try out might be curse + soak or lethal powder but they have some limitations on this level. Fenrirs hits so damn hard that even if you pod + curse, they will still most likely kill you in one aurora + 6, and that is if curse still hits due to their dodge. Lethal powder can only be used by grass type and they have a severe disadvantage on this map and are slower than fenrir, therefore they will most likely be one shotted. +6 aurora does about 45-50% to a level 60 pod gripphion (185 mdef)

Lol, I'm still clearing out the last of the HR expert mode stages,
but this guide is so detailed I'll definitely be referring to it later on.

Btw CreamPuff thanks for running the scenarios with non-OEL's!
I'm sure a lot of players will find it helpful. <3

what monsters are you using? Scythe with pod + massive bolder +2/+3 helps a lot in this map due to the cerbs and final boss phoenix. Also good for the random dracos/ignightmares and i personally found scythe to be more accurate than my levi in sandstorm.

For this map i used
Levi, patta, igni, scythe

You should try to have a monster with intimidate such as igni/angelo so you can do intimidate switching since most monsters on this map is physical (apart from the fire bombs).

For every battle i lead with igni. If the first monster i faced was a rock type, i switch to pata. I use pod on pata and then photo then kill that monster. If the next monster is still a rock type, i keep using my pata. However if a fire type comes out, i switch to igni for debuff. They wont kill you in 1 attack then after that turn switch into scythe. Similarly if the first monster you face is fire, switch to scythe. levi is more of a back up monster for this map since sandstorm does 16% per turn and scythe is immune.

For the map it self, it is very large with many minibosses so you will be using quite a lot of res cards (depends on your luck but maybe about 10+). Someone in the forums already pointed out that even most normal battles will most likely kill you or leave you severely injured for the next fight so the only thing that you can do is res and keep on going and kill minibosses one after another. For the final monster for minibosses or the final boss phoenix , switch your intimidate monster in and sacrifice them so they can debuff the monster.

good luck

I have scythe though no PoD, It has level 3 MS, Ignite with intimidate and Smiter. I don't have a good water type only Cygness with water bombs. Difficult?

Re: Expert bl 10 fast help plz

Well I beat BL-10!!! I used Fenrir mf2 pod, Hydra pod, Chimera underdog pod, all lvl 60. and then a lvl 54 flight pod with photosynth iajitsu and boulder.

I used 3 res cards, This time through I swear they did not dodge half as much! Don't know why, cause last few tries I had fen and hydra there too. This time through the Felicities were sort of the aggravating monster.

Re: Expert bl 10 fast help plz

nothing wrong with using pegway. It will be more difficult though due to pegways lower stats and not sure if you have pod on the turtle? I didnt have soak on my levi so thorns and soak can maybe work if you can tank the attacks.

grtz bullhead

igni and smiter are really good for 10-13. You need a strong monster to counter the fire types on the stage though so you are resorted to using a rock or water type. Your scythe will do well even if it doesnt have pod. I dont like cygness due to it's low def/hp and horrible speed (with no speed boost) so you will most likely always go last. Speed is important for these maps due to the huge level difference of their monsters compared to yours so you want to kill them asap. thats why pod is very very useful to have on your monsters.
