Hydra Rain Talent + Gryphion Rain Power Atk Talent

Thats very peculiar that your rain power talent didnt activate. Hydra was faster than gryphion???


Here are my findings with the weather power talents.
If weather is already up, you get a buff the first time you switch your monster in. If you switch him in and your monster is already buffed you do t get another buff.
You get buffs and additional buffs whenever someone casts weather and your monster is in play.
You dont however get buffs from OEL weather talents.
So the only way you can get buff from an OEL weather talent is if your OEL is faster and comes in first and sets up weather and your monster comes in second getting a single buff from entering the field on weather.

Your description satisfies these conditions if hydra is faster than gryphion and should have activated.

Just want a good water monster that can stand the rock jehadi monsters and help me on expert bl a little , do u say i should go for levi or hydra ?

I love my Hydra, I dont have levi, but the ones I have faced are great too.
I look at it like this, Hydra is like the Legendary Cygness, and Levi is the Pewgway. The way the stats lay out, thats what its like.

So you really can't go wrong with either one
