Just tested it, they seem to attack the monster that has the ''Taunt'' Talent emoticon show last.

Nope, I used a Purrfection and Pewgway, both had Taunt.
First two turns, they attacked Purrfection, which had the Taunt sign last, both times.
After that, I switched to two other monsters, then switched back to Purrfection and Pewgway, and they attacked Pewgway, which had the Talent show up last this time.

Just tested it, they seem to attack the monster that has the ''Taunt'' Talent emoticon show last.

Nou , get a psychoe taunt and a pewgway taunt .. Pewgway taunt will get the hits 100% of the times ... What happened with u i think is cuz that purr and pewgway are the same range of speed i guess

Meh I don't know, it might just be a random order of Taunt, but for me, they attacked the one that showed the Taunt signal last the whole battle.

lol Interesting , i expected it would work the one you would just attack or one of the both will randomly get the hit and yeah indeed 85 and 52 are very close you must be genius in math
