im really sure about this cause everyday i go pvp. pod its not the same as weather.

I second this....I used pod all the time at ladder and pvp.

Pod effect is immediately on the moment itself.

Cheers :D

agree with dota. weather and pod works differently, pod effects come in the moment you cast them ie it will work well on faster mobs as u get the def buff straight up

Re: Question about power of darkness

I suppose my Smiter can take over 1/2 HP of a Scythe, but only like 1/3 for a Scythe that used Pod. Or maybe it's just because of weather.

Re: Question about power of darkness

I just tested it.

First turn, I used Boulder. Opponent used Ice Bullets. HP went from 210 to 186, 24 damage dealt.
Next turn, I used PoD. Opponent used Ice Bullets again.
My HP went from 186 to 163, which is 23 damage. This is probably a decimal error.

No weather, critical hit or attack boost included.
I don't know if it's different in Ladder, as it is already rigged, but this is my experience with using PoD in the same turn.
Finally back on track and ready to help you guys :D!

Maybe but in the team mode im sure it does not take effect the same turn because my pattafly is hit with the same amount of damage whether i use PoD in the same turn or not , anyways they maybe changed it in the last maintenance (yesterday/today im not sure) , time to ask support!

That's not what I mean. First turn, you pod they use ice bullets. Second turn you just attack and they use I've bullets again. See if when you had podded turn one if your def still the same as when you are attacked again next turn

Well, obviously the damage recieved in the 3rd turn (PoD casted) would be lower, as PoD raised my (M)Def.
