Death of Anti-switch Skills

Now that monsters have been released that pretty much throw monster element advantage/disadvantages out the window, I've come to realize that no one uses skills like drown, trap, entwine, etc. anymore. Back then, people would actually use these skills in PVP and actually cared about having variety in their elemental lineups.

Is there any way to make elements and switching a part of strategy anymore? Or is too far gone? Anyway to revive the skills like they did for pressure?

Re: Death of Anti-switch Skills

I sometimes use Drown + Wind Blast combo.
But seeing how most monsters are 1 or 2hit, it's not really worth it :?!

In a different topic I was told that the trap-toe moves like Drown weren't triggered with Windblast.

You are saying hey are?

They aren't, but it still prevents the opponent to switch monsters without side effect.
This usually results in them trying to attack, which in his turn results in a 1hit KO from a PoD Gryph :D!

Re: Death of Anti-switch Skills

Depending on the mode you are in, it is essentially useful still. It is just useless since the main PvP mode is Dual Duel, its more exciting and has a lot of strategic play. 1 vs. 1 is still there. Unless Haypi makes an activity to make players play 1v1 mode these skills are gonna be at shelf until then.
