Games death

I has been around 2-3 week since I have quit and I said I would check the forums from time to Time. It's has become apparent to me that this game is quickly falling apart. At this point I don't even see a very good update wavering it because of the bad taste it has left in people's mouths. This gme is no where to be seen in the popular section of the IoS store so it won't attract anyone new. I go into detail of why this game is falling, which are the same reason I quit.
To the people that telling others to "deal with it" or "stop whining " etc. shut up because they most likely have a point on the flaws of this game. flaws that haypi refuse to acknowledge because they are too busy milking this game dry.
This game will die so I suggest you guys take not only you money but your time as well to another game that will pay more attention to you and the community.

P.S. I've argued this with Rex to months but he would never accept the bad choices Haypi has made. now I've found out he has quit too. I've won that arguement but its a bittersweet victory

Re: Games death

The game will never truly die. It'll become inactive, not die.

From what I've heard, they merged the Servers for the other games that grew inactive.
If they would do that right now, I'm 100% sure people would be complaining about overpopulation.
As I've said many times before, the next update makes or breaks this game. I think it's not fair to make such a rough statement without knowing what Haypi is up to.

Ofcourse, the game is less active. But face it, who would think an online iOS game would stay up long? Six months is hella long IMO, most computer games die even before that.
The thing is that Haypi doesn't pay enough attention to advertisement. We recently got the options to add PALs, but you can't really rely on the few players that add people in a close circle, can you?
It would be best if there'd be some large announcement for Haypi, that'd draw new people, enough to keep this game running for atleast another year.

This game is far from dead, but far from alive either. It's up to Haypi what they do next. A good, fresh and original activity would definitely pull more people (back) towards the game. If they ignore this, I believe nearly everyone will leave.
Finally back on track and ready to help you guys :D!

There's not enough attention put into advertising.
If it'd be easier to share via sites like Facebook, I'm sure we can get some new members. And honestly, only the older people are complaining, with few exceptions.
This game is definitely still enjoyable for the newer people, I have PALs that are almost as active as I am, and can't get enough of it.

Re: Games death

Gaming 101: Keep your players interested and busy. If this game could keep players on line for more than 2-3 hrs, It would be populated and interesting.

Example: reset is at 8pm est. By 10 or 11 pm I am done with my dailies, vet/expert attempts, Team modes, and Usually have found most of my boss raids. So what is there to do then? On a MMORP game am I going to go grind out xp from normal levels with crap rewards? NO. Even if i did you cant really chat and play. And there is no way really to help newer players except team modes.
So around 11pm I team up and 2v2 for an hour or 2, but that gets old. So there is no attention keeping going on here now. Xp cards are everywhere, new players have monsters reaching levels it took us vets months to do.

It's a game, not a help newbs catch vet players session. I like helping others and I probably always will, But please show some respect to vet players, we are the ones that helped mold and make this game!

Rant done, thank you for reading my horrible attempt at a story. :?

Re: Games death

Well, I think you are right. Not enough advertising.

However, the recent updates are mostly help new player. Haypi make it such a way that it is possible for new player to beat veteran player. Lets not talk about OEL.
My point is "Haypi is more concerned about how to make new player interested in the game, but didn't actually consider veteran player".

I realize that there are lots of veteran player at my server who said goodbye to me :(. Almost 7-8 player I think. Some of them actually have Fenrir and Cerberus even gryphon, hippo and leviathan. But they decide to quit when they realize haypi is putting up Hydra next and chimera and so on.
Even in this forum, please don't deny that lots of player decide to quit and yes they are veteran player.

What for haypi make new player stay but let those veteran spender leave the game? This will be the downfall I believe.

Cheers :D

I see your advertising point but to that I counter with the reason this game drew in a fairly large crowd was because it was a free to play game. This that really launched it to the populate section of the free RPG section. That's really all the advertising an IoS game needs just a spot on the popluar section.
If you can manage to not only keep your active players but also that spot in the section you will have a much longer game . HM didn't do that they went to a pay to win approach and thus pushing away they much more active free to play player and ultimately "killing the game"
Also there are simple change they can do within this next week that would even get me to play. Fix PVP and either nerf OeL or boost free legends. But they won't do that they are pulling an HK. milking until the game is dead and dry. Sure we can say HK or HD aren't technically "dead" but then your nitpicking. truth being their activity level are so low the only reason they keep it running is because a few dedicated players refuse to let go.

Re: Games death

The same thing that happened to HD is going on here now. I said it before when the like/dislike contest was starting, Too worried about new players fitting in and not getting owned etc. etc. blah. blah. I put in a good bit of time in HD and HM. It's insulting to me to give newbs these things when we worked hard for them.

Re: Games death

I don't think they can just "nerf" OEL and "boost" free legendary. That would be unfair to those who have paid.

My suggestion would be to add new free legendary that can match and win over OEL. At this point may be it still too soon.
Addition of new activity would be the best.

Still, lets leave it to haypi team to decide. Lets just sit and watch their "next step". :D
