Re: Increase block limit

I didn't know this until today, but you can no longer turn chat off. If you go to settings and turn it off, It doesn't work. When they started the block list it disabled the off feature for chat. We had a player on s2 that had chat off before the implement of block list, and after that update his chat was back on, yet the option said it was still off.

Re: Increase block limit

Holy hell, I can see the problem. If I were on your server, I would love to have a limitless block limit to counteract all that.

Or.....*whispers* server experts would be nice....

I'm very glad my server isn't like that or I'd run out of space on my block list too.

Perhaps they can do a decay function on our block list? After a set number of days, the person will automatically fall off the block list until you re-block them again. This way it will automatically purge your list of inactives as well as allow blocked people a second chance to demonstrate good behavior. For the repeat offenders, maybe have a perma-block feature to disable decay for selected players.

Re: Increase block limit

Haypi has said they won't implement experts unless a server is out of control...apparently this is completely controlled innapropriate language and behavior by 12 year olds.

Oh yea, and one day this young kid said he had to go because his grandfather was sick and in the hospital. Manish, ajohn, and others spammed chat with "hahahahhaha" and "lololol" and "555" for a good 5 minutes. A couple days later the kid said he was going to his grandfather's funeral and they laughed at him again.

Heck, I wish the users in my Server were 12 year olds.
I once posted my Skype in the chat, for rainbow and giggles, and some 10 year old added me, and continued to send me baby pictures of himself...

I should add you in Skype and send you more baby pictures.... j/k

I think its ridiculous for haypi to wait for things to get out of hand before implementing measures... That's like saying, Let's wait for traffic accidents to go out of hand and have lots of people die before implementing traffic lights and stop signs.

You know things are gonna get bad after a while... should implement as a preventative measure NOT as a corrective measure...

*sigh*... haypi....

Re: Increase block limit

I think the reason in s2 is getting out of hand now like s1, is we are #2. s1 supposedly is closed off for new accounts, so s2 is getting all the new ones now. Hopefully they will close us off for new accounts as well.

It's hard to believe but my block list is full now too. And the players that know me will say it, I get along with everyone. .... 99% of the time.

Re: Increase block limit

Yep, if bull has a full block list you know it's bad. And s1 isn't closed to new members, at least not pals. I see people making more and more pal accounts on s1 every day. A lot of people number them, just putting their original username and then a number after it, and I've seen people with like (username)12 recently.
