There's a number of legendary monster scrolls available in the game.
Firstly, you can buy Hippogon's scroll in the monster shop for 200 life essences.
The second is Gryphion and you can get its scroll in the boss raid shop for 200 boss essences.
The third is Leviathan and you need at least 135 monsters collected to get its.
The fourth and last one for now is Setanic and you have to clear ALL the expert maps for this. You get it by completing the last expert map - Barren Land expert map 15.
Also, I would like to point out that there are legendary monsters that do not need gold coins and do not need to be synthesized. You can get Roco, Lava, Leshy and Plantosaurus by acquiring (at least) the required amount of prestige points, which you get by placing in the ladder tournament every day - the higher you are, the more points you get. Prestige is not depleted when you buy the monsters so you only accumulate them.
You can buy these monsters in the monster encyclopaedia for 500,000 silver each for Roco, Lava and Leshy and 1,000,000 silver for Plantosaurus. Again, you won't lose your prestige, you will just spend the silver.
Note that this method is only for the FIRST monster - you will need gold coins for the second one if you want to breed them.
Also, you can catch Angelo in ANY
normal mode map. It will appear like a normal monster but it has a capture rate of 5% when it has full HP but can go up to 15% when its HP is very little. You can capture more than 1 so you can breed them without buying the second one with gold coins.
