Purrfection

Is it worth to breeding it?
Because i haven't seen a single player who has it and in team mode it always sucks as a partner.
I just want to have a psychic or ghost monster which i will breed and i like cats:D But i don't want to waste time breeding weak monsters.

Scythe and trunky are both great choices,

I'd go with scythe first, I don't have scythe,

I tried but couldn't catch one, but if you have a breeding pair, go ahead and breed them,

Re: Purrfection

Hehe I realised no one exactly mentioned Purrfection yet so I shall give you my feedback.

I guess an appropriate word to describe the kitty would be 'situational'. As you should have observed, most monsters in Ladder and PvP are knocked out within 2 or 3 moves, so Purrfection's relatively lower speed isn't that desirable.

So what is Purrfection good for? For me, it works really well against ghost-type epics. Since Cunning - the most common move used by them - causes the attacker to go last, you don't have to worry about Purrfection's speed (which in fact is slower than that of Meniss and Vertedeath). Having Unbending as its talent would be awesome as it negates the DEF decrease before Cunning strikes and thus reduces a significant amount of damage (especially since Purrfection is a psychic-type with weakness to ghost moves, this could make the difference between surviving a single hit or getting knocked out).

I haven't encountered a Vertedeath in my server's Ladder or PvP yet, probably due to the high cost one must pay to obtain it. There are several Felicities though, and my Purrfection has Psychic Barrier as its talent, which is very effective against them and other psychic-types. Since Meniss is the only ghost-type epic I encounter so far, I don't need Unbending to counter the DEF decrease from Cunning since I can knock OHKO then with Mind-Bending often, thus not receiving a hit.

These aside, Purrfection fares pretty well against Brawny (which has lower speed) and Chunky (same speed). Fire Bomb is good againt Chunky with Purrfection's high MATK, while Brawny's relatively lower DEF allows Mind-Bending to deal high damage as well. I also use it as my starting monster for Sealed Space Expert Mode, and it has the following skill set: Mind-Bending, Aurora Borealis, Fire Bomb, Soak.

To be honest though, Purrfection probably lies in the lower tier among the Epics, and eventually mine is going to be benched in favour of Scythe. Still, the big cat has its uses and I can still see myself bringing it to Ladder/PvP even when I get Scythe. If you have the time, do give Purrfection a try! ;)

Re: Purrfection

I have a S purrfection, Talent is taunt, skills for now are, Poison petals, Foresight, Meditation, and Spirit Channel. I use Kitty in team Pvp only, with taunt and foresight it ticks opponents off, lol. then when i oppose an opponent that has a low atk I meditate 1 or 2 times, then either channel or poison petals usually 1 or 2 hitKO's

After reading Garouchi's thread, I think I may change her up after i get some better skills.

Garouchi, thanks for the insight!

Re: Purrfection

No problem Bullhead!

It all depends on how we like to use our monsters so there's definitely a range of viable strategies for Purrfection, such as yours too. :) Personally, I like my team to be hard-hitting, so I usually go for moves with maximum damage. Not always a good thing though! :P
