Is it possible to add existing players to pal? If yes, how?

Unfortunately, no.

You may already be Pals with existing players, though - if you were invited by them or you invited them. You may also be pals if they are your inviter's inviter or your referral's referral.
However, to add a NEW Pal, the player must be a new one.

The player could existing, but if they are not in your pals list then they would have to create a new account and use you as a inviter. So if you have some crazies on your server like some do, there are players that are making new accounts and playing them.
