Best Rhor Build

Curious to hear people's views on the best Rhor Force III build.

1. Is it worth putting POD on a Force III Rhor?
2. Thunderstorm is a staple/necessity.
3. Lightning Strike or Electrical Storm for team modes.
4. Non-electrical move to combat rock types: mind-bending or iajitsu? It seems that given the boosted attack stat from Force III, iajitsu may be better than a M attack move such as mind-bending.

Note that I am avoiding putting on super thunderstorm because I want this one to be an independent warrior not reliant on rain prayer by Cygness or Pewgway.

Thoughts?

Re: Best Rhor Build

I can answer only No. 3 coz I build my rhor just for the canyon teammode. My rhor force 3 (with sharp claw) uses electrical storm and it kills both monsters like stabbey, ponch, gogo or even sometimes Lupus in one hit most of the time.

My suggestion for thunderstorm vs superthunderstorm without the rain would be thundersorm for sure coz I put superthunderstorm on it and without the rain, not only it can't kill neon nor Vertedeath and other strong def monster in one hit, it got stunned and imagine when it misses - -"

For non-electronic move, I think Iaijitsu would be good with Force 3 but it won't help you when facing ghost type but u can use thunderstorm anyway.
My fav child is Neon so I can't suggest u much. lol

1. Can't give you a definite answer. Many of the Rhor users in my server's Ladder top 15 use PoD on Rhor, but they all have Adrenaline as talent.

2. I would say Thunderstorm is a necessity for any electric-type that can learn it. Like you, I set up my Neon to be an independent monster that doesn't rely on rain prayer. In fact, it is most often used as the starting monster in my line up. I have Thunderstorm on it, but not STS.

3. If you're going for Force-III, then Electrical Storm for sure.

4. No experience on this, but as serenearth has mentioned, Iaijutsu can't hit ghost-types. Plus considering those earth/rock-types have very high DEF, it reduces the damage of physical attacks (which renders Force-III not as effective). I use Mind-Bending on my Neon as my alternative attack, partly to take advantage of the lower MDEF on earth/rock-types. It is also useful against ghost-types as well. Considering how most ghost-types typically start off with PoD, then use Cunning (which makes them go last), you are most likely able to squeeze in 2 shots of Mind-Bending. Not sure how this works against Vertedeath's superior stats, but I've yet to encounter a Meniss that can survive 2 hits of Mind-Bending.

Hope this helps and may you work out a desired skill set for your Rhor, good luck!

Re: Best Rhor Build

I have a pod rhor with mforce3 and it works pretty well. 2 hits all target. Sometimes 1 to non pod mobs with mind bending. For force 3 rhor, pod would be good, because rhor starts first most of the time, unless ure facing s ignightmare or a s felicity.
Basically force 3 with pod and thunderstorm or laijutsu will 1 hit ko almost any mob.
Anyway here's what I suggest to you. PoD laijutsu thunderstorm superthunderstorm.
Super thunderstorm is used when ur thor is in the red. 100% one hit ko. Maximum DMG dealt. Or when ur opponent uses rain prayer which happens quite a lot with the cyg/turtle/neon/rhor combo.

Without POD, can Force-III Thor kill Adaptability Neon OHKO by using Thunderstorm?

Re: Best Rhor Build

With weather yes, without weather, it will leave neon in the red. however you're very likely to win against a neon with adaptibility unless you get paralyzed by his first attack which makes you go last for the next turn or your attack misses.
Either neon or thor will 2 hit each other using thunderstorm. super thunderstorm with force3 however will OHKO a neon.

I am glad to know that even thou Rhor has Force-II equipped, there are still 2 hits by Adaptability Neon to kill it. So appreciate Rhor now and I will then spend my rune to find the Force-III talent as well as POD!!!

Thanks ppl
