You can Cast super fire bombs in a sandstorm and debuff doesn't happen as well.

Yup, just that your SFB in this case doesn't get boosted to 180 power. I'm guilty of forgetting that on many occasions.

For any effects concerning weather, just click the weather icon on the top left corner of your screen whenever you're in battle and the relevant information will be displayed. If it isn't there, then the weather is cloudy and no monsters/moves will be affected.
