Re: Post your PvP teams!

Monster rotation for pvp, all s:
Felicity : Magic Force 2 : mind bending • fire bomb • memory wipe • underworld plant
Felicity : Flush : psychic thrust • memory wipe • spirit channel
Trunky : Magic Force 2 : PoD • cunning • mindbending • avalanche
Cygness : Adaptability : water bombs • water jets • water beads
Cygness : Healer : rain prayer • water torrent x 2 • soak
Scythe : Armor 2 :shake • boulder • martyrdom • earthquake
Behemoth : Sand Therapy : massive boulder • martyrdom • rock sling
Meniss : Magic Force 2 : cunning • shadow storm • dream thief
Draco : Adaptability : fire bomb • super fire bomb • wind blast • flame trap
Flight : unbending / iajitsu & tech2 frenzied

1v1 Elemental counter lineup : Scythe - Draco - Cygness Adaptability - Felicity Mforce2
Start by using shake, the. Switch to stronger element monster to force enemy to switch & take advantage of free hits from shake 1 (or 2 if possible) turn stun. Can also use draco to wind blast to opponents plant monster then use flame trap, wind blast, flame trap & then just using stronger element monster. Scythe martyrdom on pod birds & draco super fire bomb for unbending birds, Felicity to deal with water monsters bc I don't hv good skills for neon yet. No weather is casted.

1v1 counter POD non elemental team (flight, meniss, skelly, felicity) : Draco • Scythe • Felicity Flush • Felicity Magic Force
Basically just high speed high atk monsters that can hit flight/meniss before they use POD. After draco super fire bomb, switch in flush & psychic thrust & switch back out to remove confusion.

2v2 • scythe & felicity.. Because so many people are using electric monsters right now, & scythe martyrdom can take out cygness before it casts rain prayer or kill neon/rhor. Felicity magic force for clean up without suffering elemental weakness.

Sometimes I also do sand storm team with behemoth - draco - scythe.. After I get blizzard I will do blizzard team with 2x chunky - scythe - cygness adapt.

Kaloth wrote:I use of variety of monsters because I haven't found a combo I love. I typically use:

Scythe (DEF Boost) - Boulder, Massive Boulder, Shake, Matyrdom
Smiter (Healer) - Razor Leaves, Poison Petals, Poison Leaves, Photosynthesis
Pegaway (Resurrect) - Water Bombs, Rain Prayer, Water Beads, Soak
Rhor (Force III) - Thunderstorm, Switch Hit, Lightning Strike, Seduction
Ignightmare (Flame Body II) - Super Fire Bomb, Celestial Prayer, Wild Fire, Fire Bomb
Purffection (Psychic Barrier) - Mind Bending, Spirit Channel, Meditation, Hypnotism
Behemoth (Sand Cleanse) - Kamikaze, Boulder, Massive Boulder, Martyrdom

I'm trying to get resurrect on Scythe. I'm also trying to decide if I should try and get intimidate on Ignightmare. All of Behemoth's talents suck in my option and I don't use him as much (Scythe is better). I would love to get wind blast and put in on Rhor (Where do I find it?).

For 2v2 battles I almost always have Scythe and another monster (I try to pick one that isn't weak to plant or water like Scythe).

For normal battles I usually use Scythe at the front and cast Shake. Then can usually switch to my opponents weakness and win. If they are using flights and/or ghost types I use my weather effects to gain the advantage.

Hmm.. use Scythe (Resurrect), Ignight(Intimidate), Smiter(Overgrow-3/Force2) & Behemoth(Sand Cleanse) w/ Sandstorm

Scythe to cast Shake, then switch w/ Ignight if enemy is Grass or Smiter if Water.. Else, go w/ Behemoth and cast Sandstorm and rain them w/ Massive Boulder..

Try also to get Solar Smite on Smiter and Mind-Bending for him as well, just in case.. You may opt to remove Kamikaze on Behemoth for Sandstorm and Ignight's Wild Fire for Fire Blast..

I usually like your advices Swift but I won't advise Kaloth to use too many runes getting those abilities.
DEF-Boost Scythe is actually what I am going for right now. It can be a pain to fight against if used correctly. Resurrect is extremely irritating since it doesn't want to show up!
Smiter benefits quite a lot from Healer as well, although, mine uses Force 2. I don't suggest Overgrow since, even though it is strong, you'll find Force 2 more reliable and useful. As I said, Healer is still useful.
Ignightmare makes good use of Flame Body 2 but I do agree with Intimidate being slightly more reliable. My advice is to not change Flame Body 2 if you don't have a lot of runes to work with at the moment.

I won't suggest changing too much about your team, actually. Those are definitely fine as they are but can obviously be improved (but not necessary).

As you said, you don't really need to pick 4 out of those. Your monsters are actually pretty strong. Behemoth would make great use of Sandstorm because of its ability now - change Kamikaze to it.
You definitely can use any 4 of those and win a lot! :)

Branchy, Scythe, Optional, Optional.

Branchy is there just to set up toxic stake.
Scythe is there to set up sandstorm. I also have mine equipped with wind blast, and conveniently most of the monsters that are faster than it is also elementally weak to it.If things get bad I just use martyrdom.

The basic idea of this is to force the enemy to either fight in the sandstorm or to force them to switch out, get poisoned and hit by the sandstorm only to be wind blasted back. It isn't perfect of course, but it works. Though the thing is, you pretty much are forced to use rock fall with this build on Scythe; boulder has too low pp in this tactic.

Your new team is creative but the old one was stronger. If this is your ladder team, your lucky we have a truce:P

Re: Post your PvP teams!

Yes while my old team was stronger, I made this team purely for PvP. Plus I hated that my old team was a easily killed by either a Rhor or a Neon. And lol I would never use this team in ladder, it relies on switching monsters which almost never happens in ladder.

I do actually agree w/ you on this one.. :) Been trying to get Resurrect, still none for my Scythe after 12 Ulti runes.. Though, what i suggested was the best talent provided you have enough resources to go along w/ it.. DEF Boost is definitely better than Armor 2, not sure why.. but it does more damage reduction than Armor 2..

Lexoph wrote:Smiter benefits quite a lot from Healer as well, although, mine uses Force 2. I don't suggest Overgrow since, even though it is strong, you'll find Force 2 more reliable and useful. As I said, Healer is still useful.

Actually, I have both Healer and Overgrow - 3.. Healer is a really dependable skill on Ladder and even in PvP.. Overgrow - 3 on the other hand gets surely maximized only if you give him Simple Healing Potion IMO.. Smiter often gets OHKO by Adapt Draconius or S.Bomb Ignightmare whenever its a sunny day outside :D

Ohh.. Btw, you may want to give your Smiter Mind-Bending, to hold his own against Vertedeath's if there are any in your server or even Psychic Thrust if you have a Celestial Team setup.. Smiter has high MATK and HP, with a Psychic skill it allows a versatile setup in-game :)

________________________________________________________________

Strategy: Sunbathing
Talent: Sun Cleanse
Item: Winged Boots / Iron Shield
Skill: Poison Leaves, Solar Smite, Psychic Thrust, Photosynthesis / Hypnosis Powder

Notes:

1. Highly dependent on Celestial Prayer
2. Smiter should only come out either after Celestial Prayer has been cast, if you have Switch Hit on the monster that cast Celestial Prayer or the first monster has died.. this is to compensate for Smiter's low SPD
3. Maximizes the use of 120power skill
4. You can opt for SPD or DEF as both have low values for Smiter, MDEF has not been put into consideration as there aren't that many Ice-types being used as of the moment.. But you're free to go with Warrior's Headpiece in any case you want to have it against Vertedeath / Felicity
5. Good combo w/ Draconius w/ Taunt, though I'm not really sure if there are any people using Draconuis w/ Taunt..
- Monster: Draconius
- Strategy: Fire Starter
- Talent: Taunt
- Item: Iron Shield / Healing Potion
- Skill: Celestial Prayer, Foresight (better skill synergy w/ Taunt) / Seduction, Super Firebomb, Fireblast / Firebomb
