Post your PvP teams!

Since most players in my server have adapted Neon now and adapted Draconius, I have changed my PvP team to something else.
Branchy, Scythe, Optional, Optional.

Branchy is there just to set up toxic stake.
Scythe is there to set up sandstorm. I also have mine equipped with wind blast, and conveniently most of the monsters that are faster than it is also elementally weak to it.If things get bad I just use martyrdom.

The basic idea of this is to force the enemy to either fight in the sandstorm or to force them to switch out, get poisoned and hit by the sandstorm only to be wind blasted back. It isn't perfect of course, but it works. Though the thing is, you pretty much are forced to use rock fall with this build on Scythe; boulder has too low pp in this tactic.

Good strategy, you can improve:
- Scythe by getting Resurrect (giving you another chance to hit) & Massive Boulder (benefits from Sandstorm)
- Adding another de-buff skill on Branchy (I'm assuming you aren't using him to hit monsters at all (no Poison Petals))
- Including another Fire-type / Earth-type

Re: Post your PvP teams!

I would get resurrect however since I cannot seem to get it, so I settled with sand cleanse. Plus burn would make martyrdom a lot less scary, paralysis won't let me wind blast fast enough, and poison would just tick down over time.

Does anyone know what happens if you use maytrdom before the opponent gets to do their turn, but resurrect activates?

Re: Post your PvP teams!

I use of variety of monsters because I haven't found a combo I love. I typically use:

Scythe (DEF Boost) - Boulder, Massive Boulder, Shake, Matyrdom
Smiter (Healer) - Razor Leaves, Poison Petals, Poison Leaves, Photosynthesis
Pegaway (Resurrect) - Water Bombs, Rain Prayer, Water Beads, Soak
Rhor (Force III) - Thunderstorm, Switch Hit, Lightning Strike, Seduction
Ignightmare (Flame Body II) - Super Fire Bomb, Celestial Prayer, Wild Fire, Fire Bomb
Purffection (Psychic Barrier) - Mind Bending, Spirit Channel, Meditation, Hypnotism
Behemoth (Sand Cleanse) - Kamikaze, Boulder, Massive Boulder, Martyrdom

I'm trying to get resurrect on Scythe. I'm also trying to decide if I should try and get intimidate on Ignightmare. All of Behemoth's talents suck in my option and I don't use him as much (Scythe is better). I would love to get wind blast and put in on Rhor (Where do I find it?).

For 2v2 battles I almost always have Scythe and another monster (I try to pick one that isn't weak to plant or water like Scythe).

For normal battles I usually use Scythe at the front and cast Shake. Then can usually switch to my opponents weakness and win. If they are using flights and/or ghost types I use my weather effects to gain the advantage.

Hmm.. use Scythe (Resurrect), Ignight(Intimidate), Smiter(Overgrow-3/Force2) & Behemoth(Sand Cleanse) w/ Sandstorm

Scythe to cast Shake, then switch w/ Ignight if enemy is Grass or Smiter if Water.. Else, go w/ Behemoth and cast Sandstorm and rain them w/ Massive Boulder..

Try also to get Solar Smite on Smiter and Mind-Bending for him as well, just in case.. You may opt to remove Kamikaze on Behemoth for Sandstorm and Ignight's Wild Fire for Fire Blast..

Well if your opponent survives they'd be able to attack Scythe.. Else next round starts..

Re: Post your PvP teams!

:( Everyone has good monsters to PvP with, but me xD

I use these monsters for 1v1:

Blocky [Sand Therapy] A rank - Shake, Rock Fall, Rock Sling and Self-Sacrifice
Smiter [Healer] B+ rank - Razor Leaves, Poison Petals, Poison Leaves, Cleansing Powder
Lupa [Evade] A rank - Spiritual Orb, Spirit Channel, Whirlpool, Hypnotism (Need something to swap it with)
Shriek [Accelerator] A rank - Water Beads, Shadow Swipe, Ambush and Curse

I have 2x Sharp Claw, 2x Headband, 1x Warrior Helm, 1x Boots. I also have
Champ [Competitive] A rank - Bodyslam, Smack, Full Stomach, Thunder Blast - I'm just trying to make it better right nwo and find a place inmy team for it, if I need it.

My strategy is to set-up shake and take out their lead with Blocky, or at least tag it for next turn. I send out Lupa to take care of the monster if it is still alive after Blocky or send out Shriek if it dies. Water beads, Swipe until I get the buff and Ambush until it's almost dead and finish off with Curse. Send out Smiter to take care of anything left.

I'm planning to get Cygness, Rhor and Scythe to replace my Lupa, Shriek an Blocky.

Also, imo, I think that the best PvP team would have to be:

Scythe - Martyrdom, Shake, Massive Boulder and Fissure
Cygness - Rain Prayer, Water Torrent, Soak, Water Jets
Sally [Electric Barrier] - Lightning, Whack, Thunder Blast, Rain Prayer
Neon [Adapt] - Super Lightning Storm, Lightning Storm, Laijutsu and PoD

Neon [Adapt] - Super Lightning Storm, Lightning Storm, Laijutsu and PoD

If you don't have that many monsters to use you have to make do w/ what you have now.. Focus on creating a specific theme for the monsters you have.. you don't necessarily need uber strong monsters to compete :) leverage their own strength's and weaknesses..

I think you can improve your current monsters w/ the following:

Blocky w/ Sand Therapy (try to get Resurrect)- Sandstorm, Shake, Self-Sacrifice, Rock Sling / Rock Fall
Champ w/ Invalidate - Curse, Absorption, Ultrasonic, Water Jets
Shriek w/ Accelerator - Curse, Absorption, Ambush, Shadow Swipe / Exhaust
Lupa w/ Evade - Whirling Flames, Spirit Channel, Hypnotism, Whirlpool

I'm thinking of setting-up Shake and switching w/ Champ or Shriek, basically you won't be dealing that much damage instead, you go for damage over time and last hitting.. both Shriek and Champ is good for those approach w/ the right talent and right skills.. Aside from w/c your Champ should be able to cancel monsters that'll use PoD, by that you should be casting Curse.. Each time a new enemy mob pops-out be sure to get it Cursed and rain down de-buffs on it :) to maximize your DoTs

That team leaves me open to getting owned by Water monsters. I like having Healer on Smiter as it gives it some tanking ability, though I agree Force 2 or Overgrow III would probably be better.

The problem problem would most likely be when they use Water mobs the first turn, Cygness or Pewgway w/ Rain Prayer would definitely disrupt your flow.. The only way i can think of is flushing out Smiter as soon as you see there Water Monster..

True, the deck is kinda weak against Water Mobs.. If so, you can include Rhor Force 3 and change Shake to Sandstorm to remove Massive Boulder debuff.. If you don't want to remove Shake, then just include Rhor and take out Behemoth..
