New to the Game?

A lot of players have been asking us questions about the game. This guide is geared towards new players who are just starting out. If you are a veteran player, you might find this boring ;) but definitely helpful for those who are just starting out:

First off, there is an abundance of information you will learn from the tutorial. Do not bypass this, the tutorial will give you a snapshot of how to play this game. To get there, go to the Help tab and choose Tutorial. Take a few minutes of your time to read it. Congratulations, now you know more than the other player who decides to take all the questions to world chat.

Q: How do I advance in this game?
A: You advance in this game by gaining prestige. Most actions in Haypi Kingdom give you prestige (unless you lose an attack and lose prestige). Upgrading resources and buildings, training soldiers, completing tasks – these actions will gain you prestige.

Q: What task/building upgrade should I do first?
A: We would recommend that you update the warehouse first. After you complete a task, you are offered a reward, in resources and sometimes prestige and/or money. If you accept a reward that your warehouse can’t hold, you waste the reward. If your warehouse can’t hold the resources, you may accept the reward at a later time.

Q: I upgraded my warehouse, now what?
A: We recommend that you upgrade your main building. Each upgrade or troop training requires resources and “people” to accomplish. Lower main building level means lower people resource and you might get stuck for a while if you cant upgrade, or create armies, etc.

Q: How do I train an army?
A: One of the tasks requires you to build an infantry. You can do this in the Barracks. There are four types of soldiers and each type require different resources. Choose the infantry and train it to complete this task.

Q: How do I hunt?
A: If you have an army, you can send them to hunt. To do this, click on the map tab and locate an oasis. Choose enter and choose the Hunt action.
Q: How long should I hunt for?
A: Chances of gathering more money/treasure is affected by the following: army size (the mightier, the better), fresh oasis (an oasis that hasn’t been hunted in for a few days will yield better treasures/money), your fortune points/luck and the length of time you take it to hunt. The optimal time to hunt is 8-12 hours. Treasures are very rare so don’t count on it when you’re hunting.

Q: How do I occupy a city/oasis?
A: First off, before you occupy an oasis, and as with any attacks, make sure that you SCOUT it first. If your army can handle the size of army that oasis/opponent has, go ahead and occupy it. For purposes of completing this task without any army loss, occupy a level 0 oasis. This oasis will contain no army.

Q: Ok, so I occupied a level 0 oasis and it said I lost the oasis because its level was reduced to 0. What does that mean?
A: That means that although you “conquered” it, at level 0, it will not increase any resource production and is totally useless. This oasis will not count against your occupied oasis.

Q: What are the advantages of being VIP? How do I get VIP?
A: VIP gives you an extra upgrade slot, attack slot, and no 15/20 sec chat restriction. You may buy VIP time with coins buy going to the Main Building>Kingdom Management>Add VIP Time

This is the first installment, we will have more for you, time and rl schedules permitting.

Yes, this was not my original message.. It was too long that I timed out and had to do over. I'm sure I missed a few FAQs but I'm hoping to expand on this and contribute more.
