Advanced Skill Books

I have a n advanced skill book (plant) that I cannot give to any of my plant monsters. Anyone know why?
S ranked Monsters
Cerberus, Draconius, Searbiscuit, Cygness, Pewgway, Smitter, Neon, Rhor, Purrfection, Flight, Menis, Brawney, Scythe, Clawpard, Chunky

When you open it, you get a random advanced plant skill book. This can be either Solar Smite, Photosynthesis, Poison Leaves, Seed Bullets, Razor Leaves, etc.
