Veteran Mode Anomaly

Hi,
I know that with new update comes possibility of bugs.
Today I was doing a veteran mode, Miracle Sea and on a non-min boss tile, I fought a Ripper or level 29 I think. My Bloom is Level 30 - it should have an elemental damage but I was hitting for a max of three points... Same with my Lupa... My other two monsters were KOd ... So I had only two for battle. This was in 2-7

NOTE: I didn't see any talent activated by the way. Tried the vet miracle sea 2-7 again, Ripper one hit but my Bloom... The Next monster Gnasher one hit both my Neon and Lupa... Same level.... Is this supposed to be really normal?!

I also experienced this same problem in Canyon 15, where i normally farm and grind with my lvl 40 Blocky. i was under the impression that it was a talent, and if it is, which one is it? and if its not, damn it its taking me a significantly longer time to grind and farm =(
