Im kidding, I would join you but am tapped out this week. Paycheck got delayed on direct deposit. So maybe monday if the sale continues.

I want it to be extended until after the update.
I kind of don't want to purchase more (since I recently purchased the 750 coins one) and be disappointed that it is a waste if the improvements in the game doesn't really need these extra coins.
As far as I know, the game is moving more and more into a true FTP game as they just removed the need for players to be VIP 4 before using Sacrifice. I do hope I am wrong, though!

I think they're hoping people get overexcited and buy a bunch of coins because of the new stuff with the update. They should probably have another one for st Patrick's day, after the novelty of the update wears off and coin sales dip a little.
