What Has This Game Come To?

Players are quitting left, right and center. I'm not the only one to notice and mention this. Now a friend of mine has lost her account to a hacker. She is now completely locked out of her account. Her equipment is gone, her army was fed to a top player, and her money donated an alliance that was disbanded as quickly as it was created.
Winfield said there is only one way to hack HK accounts. With that said, is the Haypi Dev Team doing anything to stop this, or are everyone's accounts as susceptible to hackings as they seem to be? Can top players lose their accounts over night, their armies starved and wiped, equipment sold, coins wasted? Is this game that people spend real money on so easily compromised?

Say what you will about how HK does all it can to make sure this game is as good as it can be, but from where I stand, they aren't doing what needs to be done when it needs to be done. I said it earlier tonight, and I will repeat it for all to see; if the dev. team cannot make this game a secure game, then they should shut it down.

Re: What Has This Game Come To?

Sadly, no claims are made by haypi to protect your account info. This is expressly and solely your responsibility.

That said, you have presented Third hand knowledge of a situation that may or may not be true. History repeats itself here often, when people claim to be hacked they a) never give the whole story and b) actually haven't been hacked. This trend is also followed by those claiming to be banned unfairly.

Prudence and hindsight prevents my sympathy in these matters. Add to that a willingness of support to actually help (as shown above) makes me think your friend has not kept you privvy to all the details.

This is true but support can access every move made on an account if they look into it. If a player sells all its equipment for npc and treasures and donates the coins and money or whatever; support can find that and notice something's wrong. It doesn't make sense sometimes of why they can refund things that they made money off of(such as equipment enchantment.), that doesn't cost anything to replace for them. Yes the account is there responsibility, but if somehow an account got hacked and everything was stolen an the account was ruined, the least Haypi can do is get the player back on its feet by giving the equipment, AT LEAST, back. Espically if it doesn't cost them anything to do so.

Re: What Has This Game Come To?

I'd say haypi support has a rich history of reimbursing people when things go awry. Of this there is plenty of evidence. Second hand knowledge is not proof of anything.

Why is second hand knowledge dangerous? This is what I see when I read your post, corrupt:

Doesn't mean they should stop it. That's why so many people had faith in Haypi. Now without it, it's causing people to quit, people to stop buying coins, and most important--many stopped loving and trusting Haypi.

3 of my friends got hacked the other day and they bought tons of coins, loved the game, and made others love the game. When they got hacked, thankfully support got their accounts back, but they had nothing. The culprate was caught, not punished, and the ones who it hacked were not reimbursed at all. They literally now need to start from scratch although they are lvl 19's and 20 players. What makes me upset is that the hacker was caught and nothing was done to punish him/her and nothing was done to help the victims.

Re: What Has This Game Come To?

Legit, there are too many plot holes there for me to take that seriously. As someone who has hacked this game and been caught, I find it hard to believe haypi took such a lenient posture in regards to this so called hacker. I am very aware of the no tolerance policy, maybe even more than you are.

It's evident they value their customer base though many cry afoul. The evidence outweighs all the stories I hear from people who speak for others.

Re: What Has This Game Come To?

Taem, Falaron, Google "rainbow tables". Information courtesy Winfield directly from World Chat s120. Anyway, that's supposedly the only way you can hack accounts.
With that said, I know my friend has sent support messages in game and to the email with limited success. Passwords can be changed, as can emails, and accounts can be hacked. Also, why would someone sell their high level equipment to NPC, donate all coins and cash to a recently created alliance, disband, and come in WC and ask if anyone wanted prestige? For attention? This person is not one to go around begging for attention. In any case, why would you sabotage your own account? What's the point?

Rico, I wish I could live in your alternate universe. It sounds pretty great. Bwahahaha.
