Also please try to refrain from biting to RICO as he will just lock the topic and the only losers will be us. In my experience He's like a child ignore him and he gets bored and goes away

Actually the reason I brought the point up of no Oasis is since I got to chat with a fellow mod who has armies in the numbers of 100k. Since I know she has 0 oasis to avoid being cropped and purchases from market, I can confidently say players know better than to depend on an oasis that is out of their control

Well I was about to create a new thread for this oases issue ... Glad to see one already started !

Firstly ive played the game for over 2 years and been in the top 20 for a considerable amount of time on server 66/119 and 96.

So before someone tries to put me down or say I dont know what i'm talking about ... I do so read carefully !

First point ... The game was much better when the alliance rank board was determined by combining induvidual prestige to a total sum ... This kept the game alive as people who quit playing was soon dropped and as wars raged between allianes it was clear to see who was gaining the upper hand.

Once the mine wars was introduced this did put a new spin on the game but resulted in having to rely your alliance as a whole ... This resulted in alot of farming, time and donating leaving personal armies on the back foot.

Thankfully alot of people realised this feature was introduced for another means for haypi to get people to spend $$$ which nothing reflected in your own personal gain except a small medal revealing how much resource you dump into an empty space ... So the following year we play as normal watching the places gain and loss on the player prestige rank board and finally excitement as a new, long awaited updated is unveiled I

So what do we get !?

A new daily gift system that, you guessed it, you can now spend coins to try again. So far I have seen nothing special from this daily gift.
Also I believe the turrets are better!? This makes no odds since if you are attacking someone the wall defence is a given and losses are expected!
The map screen has been reduced along with other pixels such as the tab icons and resource numbers. A quick fix to migranes and strained eyes.
Being able to upgrade equip to level 20 is ... Ok but the market has not been considered as resource plummets to rock bottom and, oh yeah cant buy/sell equip over level 1 !
The annoying horn icon has appeared which only takes you to daily gift screen along with the new activity tab ... Which does the same thing!
Along with a couple of tweaks, some good, example hunting time niw says 1day xx hrs and finally oases resigned actually disapear from oades screen resulting in less confusion so plus points however (finaly) the oases issue.

previously oases stood for 24 hrs, this helped people maintain an army and able to play safe in the knowledge their armies were well fed. Introducing a random oases drop is like shooting yourselves in the foot who will pay for a game when their hard earned time and efforts in prkducing an army can randomly starve. You say play without ... Then why bother !
This is clearly another attempt from haypi to get people to spend $$$ to up crops and increase crop output.

I admit I used to spend $20 religiously a week when I enjoyed playing now I dont do either, its becoming an effort to play and enjoy so why would I sink $$$ into this anymore!?

If you want to improve the game you need to consider all aspects such as if you are going to mess with the market and give us the option to upgrade equip with money (oh and coins) at least give us a chance to gain money via farming forts or people.
My opinion (and many others) scrap the random oases shift before its to late because it is going to kill the game.
Make sure all glitches are fixed such as when you attack 2 cities from one player at the same time the 2nd command is messed up (there are more)
And invest in some new support and moderators as peple generally dont like being irrated by staff who are meant to be here to support and help !

Thanks for reading I hope this helps and makes people really think whats happening here ... I for one is condidering packing in the game is just a mess now no longer fun

Supports reply to an email from an ally member was to the effect that doing so would prevent oasis refreshing from alts. But couldn't they just program it to be 24 hours owned, regardless of player? While yes, you can maintain an army without oasis, and depending on them leads to the risk of being cropped, how can you defeat 500k armies without something of near equal size? As Villian posted, we have jobs, sleeps, Friends etc. I have no Internet connection at my house or work. 400k was my limit, and if I had even one oasis drop a level on me I'd starve and be wiped hours before I could check. Since Haypi put in it's rules we aren't to share accounts, something's gotta give...

Just like to say I would like the oasis to go back to how it was... I had 3 oasis drop a level overnight... I was at -30k in a city before the oasis dropped ... All things considered I should have been at -60k a city even if my oasis dropped as soon as I logged off I was only offline for 5 hours... Which means considering I had full crop I should have only lost 360k crop... Explain that
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

This is another glitch that I have mailed to support many times but gave up after being told its legit starves.
As far as I know it seems to occur once you can hold 9 oases. Once each oases drop around 30k just disapears from your city ... Ive watched it and taken screen shots as its happening.
From max food I have been left with say 200k plus. Each time roughly around 10 hours equivelent to the negative im left with just vanishes. With the new oases dropping system its been hard to tell so thank you for bringing this up.
One of the many bugs I previously mentioned that need to be attended to.

Interesting, but I took some oases 3 days ago to see what this hoopla was about and today, 3 days later, they're all level 7.

So for some reason, my oases work fine.

If that is true taem96 then this also shows an unfair advantage as some people this is effecting while not others :(
If haypi are going to roll out such a feature then surely all should have this feature *sigh
Just getting bored of the game now lol

They degrade as normal taem the problem is refreshing them as it's not your set 24 hours that they diminish. Say you took them "fresh" at 8pm and refreshed the next day at 7pm they would still drop at 8pm. The point is you don't know when a oasis is set to diminsh as you don't know what time an unoccupied level 9 is due to drop as without seeing it change on the map you have no idea.

Lvl 10's have been alt proof for some time so why haypi feel the need mess with lvl 9's idk. It only takes 4k cav to take one after all. If you use alts on lvl 9's your a clown.

For me i like to get my oasis's refreshed and out of the way ASAP and then get on to the serious business of scouting for pres, this has just made it more time consuming which is counter productive as i don't spend coins refreshing crops but i do warping on hits. If i have to spend 1-2 hours a day scouting out fresh lvl 9's it's an hour less out of the free time i choose to devote to haypi that i'm not searching for pres and potentially spending coins.

One of the biggest gripes with the mines is that it detracts from normal gameplay for very little reward, seems to me this is also now true of oasis's

Oh my lol . Villain is right . They don't reset when we attack them . So ...... Watch the lvl 6 . When they roll over to lvl 9 attack em then. You'll get more level nininess out of em . But also admit oasis haven't been a big part of the game since we started playing . Everyone always had max lvl 9 , etiquette prevents cropping yawn boring blah! This just adds a level of difficulty and guess what makes scouting exciting again as armies are popping out left right and center. Which no one complains about :) unless its you theyre scouting lol.

Things I know....

1) the time oases degrade is not congruent with the idea that they would refresh 24 hours after I occupied one.

2) oases degrade at different times depending on the oasis.

3) Haypis "Tutorial" accurately describes what happens with oases and the degradation.

4) the "change" (in gameplay)  would most certainly not be the first change of gameplay to be slipped into an update.

5) if a general has any regard for the welfare of their troops, a random decrease of 1 level in an oasis  should not hinder their feeding schedule.

That being said....

Whether there actually is a glitch I wouldn't know. I've not experienced it. If indeed there is, I've yet to see any actual detailed documentation of it.

As gameplay has been changed, I think the most optimal course of action would be to adapt, and then overcome. 
Being surprised by this the first time is one thing, but in all honesty, it hasn't taken me very long to figure it out so I really have no sympathy for someone who loses troops to this new degrade rate at this point in time. 

In the rare instance when I've used oases, I would never refresh but instead take completely new oases and I don't find it a very difficult task.
A quick scan of the map in any direction usually reveals as many lv9 oases as you may need.

And so....

If there is anything you know that I don't, please enlighten me. I feel supremely out of the loop seeing so many up in arms over an issue that I feel is very minor.

For instance, I feel a much more glaring deficiency in gameplay is the lack of ....uhhh....level 21.

And as a final thought....

Ziggyhigs, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I like your style.
