Match making system / level brackets in pvp pls

Dont get me wrong, I love the game. I started playing it just a couple of days ago and relly enjoyed the graphics, gameplay and rewards system. Yes, there were a couple of moments when I was frustrated at some frequent crashes but that wa still bearable. What I want to discuss though, is the broken PVP system. As we all know HAypi Dragon has a huge playerbase, most of which are oldies ( pertaining in game, not age-wise ). And so most of those joining the pvp arena are very high level characters, making it a monopoly for the older players and making the newer ones feel left out. Its like an exclusive club for the high levels only and so has become non-friendly to new comers as they are constantly kicked out, or if they do manage to play, become a nuisance to their high level allies or worse, get owned without a fighting chance. I believe that a change in the pvp system would encourage new blood to play this game, and the one thing I could think about that will brIng about that change is a matchmaking system where players can go up against other players with the same or close to the same levels of dragons.

TL;DR: PVP is BROKEN me wants CHANGE LOL :D

Yes I agree i feel bad killing low lvls, yes there should be some sort of a matchmaking system, low lvls tho if they knew how to take advantage of the mp rule they would do fairly well too

Ok, heres the situation though; all newbies, as in all games, start at very low levels and most of the established playerbase is already at lvl 25++ with the stronger dragons, some of which the newbies dont even know about (just a few hours ago I played with someone who owns this black dragon that shoots bats). Do you see the gap there? To further illustrate, since i can assume your in the latter demographic from my previous presumption, do you remember how long it took you to get your current dragon to its level now? I bet you it took more than a day, a week, maybe even more than a month. So by the time newcomers manage to make it to their current level, the oldies would be in a whole new level entirely (i dont know if there is a level cap).

So do you see the predicament here? By the time we "newbs" manage a level we believe is pvp material, weve already left out an awful lot of pvp which i believe frankly is 50% of the game. Your "level up or die :p" might have been applicable when everyone was just starting out and in an even playing field and where pvp was a mode of competition and not slaughter (or do you enjoy the feeling of power in the game, which I can only assume would come from the constant feeling of being powerless in real life, which is sad). Anyway, the gap being left by pvp also prevents newbs from reaping the rewards of the pvp system which, in my opinion, we desperately need. I mean which new player would not like to have access to those boosts early on?

In conclusion, I understand that rewarding loyal long time players is a great way in keeping them, but monopolyzing a huge portion of game content for them will just drive would be fans away.

Re: Match making system pls!?

Alternative solution: lvl bracketing option, as in players may choose to only fight those within their level brackets (e.g.. Supposing the first bracket would be lvls 1-4, only those players may choose to compete in those brackets, afterwards, when they go over lvl 4, they will then be put into a higher bracket, say lvls 5-8 or so). This way there is still some eveness in the system.

Wow even better idea you guys are on a role now ;) keep up the good work
the bracketing option is very good because then haypi can make it based on the dragon u have selected for combat the game will know the dragons lvl thus not allowing him/her to enter any below the lvl rooms or higher
thus being able to enter only the required lvl field ;)

Re: Match making system pls!?

OPs suggestion, like most suggestions on this forum, is simply a request to make the game easier. New players don't realize how easy they have it now. All the levels used to be much harder, the bosses used to be much harder, the tree used to be much harder, and even PVP used to be harder. Haypi has nerfed the game so much because of your bellyaching, yet people still want it to be easier. I'm definitely in the "level up or die" camp. Getting to a respectable level 25 or so is not that difficult, so stop complaining on the forum and go grind.

May I ask how old you are sir? How old you were when you started playing?

Im only asking this because from your statement above, you seem to have an awful lot of time on your hands. But some people, like myself for instance, dont have that luxury. I, for one, have tasks that I need to do other than spend half the day to get my dragon to a higher level. I just play the game during intervals in my day. And that's where the problem starts.

You see for me, a game is only as entertaining as the content that is available to the player, I find it frustrating that I cant manage to continue playing iust because my level is not enough to defeat a certain stage and have to, as you say, grind to be able to gain some levels or, if luck might have it, pick up some power stones to power up my dragon. Unfortunately, having to repeat a stage over and over again just feels, well, repetitive. It get boring after a while and it takes the fun out of the game. This is where pvp comes in.

As you are well aware, pvp grants a player access to an arsenal of items that one may use to power up your pet. You might say "isnt that the same? Arent you just grinding as well in pvp?". In a way, yes, but since there is a great diversity of players and you get to play in seemingly different maps everytime, the game doesnt feel as repetitive. And as i said from a previous post of mine, since newbies get to go up against high levels in pvp 95% of the time, and getting torn to bits in one hit, it disheartens us to make a repeat at joining pvp and thus making it a monopoly for high levels only.

Im not gonna argue with you about how tough HD was before since I never really got the chance to experience that, but as I said before, at least all of the games features were available to all.
