Shut down? bad idea, but it might get to that point.. Maybe make a huge merge of all these servers (for example, 119-127, excluding 117-118 so they can have their own merge) and have a date requirement. No level get by unless they have played (gained at least 1 prestige, not logged on) since dd/mm/yyyy. That way we won't have big players that remain only as farms, alliances will be cleaned out better, and there won't be so much "complaining" about haypi being dead. Because as all of us know, the merged servers are dead, dead as in only about 10% of the server really plays taem, and the only thing keeping them alive is faithful players being patient for something new (@support). We keep spending our money while we wait, and we don't know what we are waiting for. Maybe clue us in? Because I'm about ready to quit, bigger and better things are out there.

Re: Is Haypi Kingdom dead?

@ Legit- Merges, unlike what support has told me in the past, take out all level 4 players and below that haven't logged in past a specific date. Support on one server told me it took out everyone who hadn't logged in past that date. So currently, when only about 10% of a server is actually active, we are filling slots with inactive players, level 0's and 12's, who didn't meet BOTH requirements for activity. so that 10% goes down even more. So we have tons of accounts that are gone on each server, and will be there for basically eternity unless this changes. And with merges, more people get wiped and quit because they were bored anyways.

@ Taem- of course server 1 is kicking! its a group of 1-4 and 13-16, a total of 8 servers! i would bet s118, 5-12, is kicking too! thing is though, they have all inactives under level 7 taken out, while some servers only have it under lvl 4. Makes a big difference when you are looking around on the map. level 0's have had two chances to disappear if they didn't on the first one. But I'm talking about more recent merges, where wc kicks up for about a week and then goes back to the point where nobody talks.

Re: Is Haypi Kingdom dead?

Perhaps you're right....I don't know who I'm trying to kid!

I don't even play anymore.

But I do keep a large enough army that I check on once Every 10 days or so. When I do, it pains me to see all those who left, but I find solace in seeing those faithful that do remain.

Let's wax philosophical for a minute.

Think back to the days before there were even 10 servers. So many people were running around creating alt accts. filling servers, taking space. What happened when a new server was created? Mass exoduses to be the first to rule the noobs. We've all seen it. Rowdy groups from s1 who claimed to be god kings, premade alliances of vets from the old servers jumping on to be the first to top the leaderboards. Wannabe experts reaching for a new oppurtunity for free VIP and the ability to boss others around. And then of course the alts. Hundreds of alts. This I know from experience, even from the hundreds at my own control, not to mention my allies.
And all this leapfrogging until maybe some settle down, or maybe they don't, and what's left in the wake of all this? Decrepit servers that may resemble ghost towns to some. Look no further than the signatures on these posts and you'll find veritable histories of the exoskeleton accts do many have left behind.

S1 banned
S4 inactive
S7 somewhat active
S32-99 inactive
S(whatever the newest one is) active

And here we sit talking about servers dying, friends leaving, and wonder why?
It's not the lack of gameplay and interest that keeps people making those new accts in new servers, but it is the new accts that kill the old servers.

What ever happened to that acct you have that is inactive? Why did you stop using it? Why did you make another? I think these are the real questions, and I believe the answer is that just like we make haypi great, we also kill it. We kill it each and everyone of us who flit about from server to server, a server is a home. A home to many that don't have the luxury of many accts sitting idle. And when those players are left behind, that's when haypi dies and all that's left is us....our forum signatures betraying our unwillingness to commit to a server an make it strong.

I don't play anymore... not really. The gameplay has become boring. I've burned bridges with other players. But I could never stop caring about the people I've met here, and I think about them every day whether we're still in touch or not. I'll always be grateful for this. To be a part of an international network of people who have virtually nothing in common, except for the fact that so many of us CARE about each other. How many people can say they're a part of that? It's nice, though painful to lose touch.

Re: Is Haypi Kingdom dead?

Well said taem. The only thing keeping me here is devotion to old friends. My alliance is dying, 119 is dead, and 99 is the only server I have other ties to.

Re: Is Haypi Kingdom dead?

U hit the nail on the head there taem with regards to people leaving for new servers, I've suggested before that the new account task should be raised to higher levels, to encourage ppl to spend more time & effort on a particular server. Sad fact is that put bluntly Haypi no longer care what we think or do, they say they do (wouldn't you if it got you paid?) but in reality unless your investing into dragon then your wasting your breath.

Merges are a short term solution they fix the problem for 1-2 months then we slowly die again, u only have to look on wc of older servers to see there's little faith in haypi's ability to listen to its players or indeed rectify the problems. I personally regret purchasing coins at the last sale as now Its that investment that is keeping me here, in reality I'm ready for the boneyard, it's a shame as I've had so much fun here but if things don't change by the time I run out I'll call it a day.

In their defense, support rarely gets in on these discussions, save the occasional company line, "we are working hard, please be patient."

The developers don't look to forum activity as evidence of their success, they refer to server logs and receipts. Truth is, players still buy enough coins to pay for opening new servers.

In other words, haypi being dead means something completely different to the developers than it does to their players.

So the only way to get change is if, per say, there was mass coin sale loss, like a protest players could start?
