Reflections: Lythic's Haypi Origins

The Story:
It had been a week since I first came to this foreign land known as Haypi. I had built long and hard to make my city grow and it was now starting to take shape. More and more people were coming to join every day and there was no shortage of work for them to do as new buildings went up and old buildings grew bigger. I was walking around overseeing the contruction of an expansion on my City Hall when I heard the sound of people shouting way off in the distance. I walked away from my city and headed towards the source of the disturbance. It wasn't long until I stumbled up the largest collection of people I'd ever seen in my short Haypi life. It was a huge city that expanded as far as the eye could see, packed full of more people than I'd ever met or could possibly hope to count. After traveling through the city for a few days I learned that this place was known as the City of Worldly Chattiness. Certain names came up constantly and where always associated with laughter and smiles. After days of wandering I managed to stumble upon a group of people roaring with laughter. As I grew closer a few names I'd began to recognize where being thrown around, and I realized that they where refering to the people in the center of the group. I watched for a while, listening and even laughing until the group slowly started to depart and the couple slid away from the group. I followed them till they arrived at a castle nestled in the middle of the street. I stopped dead in my tracks, starring up at the castle. It was breathtaking, unimaginably tall, and luxurious. It was by far the largest castle I'd ever seen and I've only seen one larger since. I stopped a stanger and asked,"What is that giant castle there?" "There?" he laughed, " That's where the alliance Warr,Inc83 convenes. Only member's of the alliance may enter there." I sat there for hours diliberating before I finally worked up the courage to knock on the door. As I approached I was startled by the scale of this door. It was easily the size of three tall men made of solid wood and adorned in fine gold. I stood there wondering about how great the people inside must be. I weakly tapped at the doors. After a few minutes of standing there looking dumbly at this grand door I was sure no one had heard me and turned to walk away. Just then I heard a loud thud and looked as the doors started to open. A bright light shown through the doorway blinding me. A figure appeared in the light, not nearly as big as I'd imagined but still carrying itself with a sense of pride and power that can't be described. "Who is it that so meekly knocks at the gates of Warr,Inc?" boomed forth the voice. "I seek an alliance with the one they call Naxxxxie," I replied weakly. The figure stepped forth. The light subsided and the imposing figure transformed into that of a woman, the one I had come to know as Blue spoke, "Why do you seek to join Warr,Inc? Why not join with the largest alliance there on top of the hill?" Her every word gently but firmly questioning my motive, protecting the thing she'd come to love as I has hoped to one day do as well. "I have seen the joy you have brought to this grand city and wish to be apart of this grand alliance." She stared at me for a moment, watching for any sign of deception. I sat there under her ever questioning gaze, hands sweating, fearing that I would be seen as unfit to join this most grand of castles. I began to question myself. Surely I had aimed too high. Maybe I should have started with a smaller alliance until my city had grown more and my army was large enough to warrent batting an eye at. Fear started to set in. Surely it had upset them that someone of such a low humble town would dare lay a finger on their grandest of doors. Then suddenly a sound burst forth from Blue's mouth. One I was familiar with but not expecting in the least. It was laughter. Confused I started to hang my head and turn when I heard a sweet voice ring out from behind her. "Let him in," it called out full of laugher and amusement. Blue, now grinning from ear to ear, ushered me in through the gates. She laughed and smiled as she guided me through the courtyard, introducing me to it's members. They each in turn greeted me with a smile, hug, or a handshake and pushed me along to the next group of people. Suddenly, standing before me instead of sitting high upon a throne as one might expect, but instead blending almost seemlessly with her subjects stood Naxxxxie. Her posture showed the grace of nobility but she walked among everyone else as an equal. She smiled, "You must be Lythic." It got very quiet and I could feel all eyes turn in my direction. "Please help me welcome the newest member of the Warr Family!" she shouted. Everyone erupted into cheers and started congradulating me. As I looked out into the sea of grin covered faces a sense of happiness washed over me and I realized.... This is my home, This is my family.

The Background:
This is a revised version of a story I wrote for our alliance as part of an activity check given out by our alliance leader, Naxxxxie. This is a fictional story that's based on the very real events of how I came to join the alliance Warr,Inc83 on server89. At the time, we where ranked #2 behind Jaded. Since I wrote this, we have moved up and currently hold the #1 alliance rank on server89. I don't know if this counts for 'Haypi In Reflection' but I felt the need to post this because I owe so much to the members of Warr,Inc83. Without their constant banter both in World Chat and Alliance Chat, I would have left this game a long time ago. I've met many great people since joining Warr,Inc and it's through my contact with them all that I keep playing Haypi Kingdom. I would like to thank my fellow members of Warr,Inc83 and our alliance leader Naxxxxie for always being there to support me whenever I need something and keeping me laughing even when I'm having a bad day. Lastly, I would like to thank the creaters and support staff of Haypi for the opportunity to play their game and interact with other people from around the world.

About Me and my Haypi Experience
I started playing Haypi Kingdom back in either September or October of 2011. I spent the first 3 weeks in solitary, building my city and army from the ground up and studying endless guides on how to play HK to the fullest extent possible. At some point in my second week I started paying attention to World Chat, listening but not drawing attention to myself by interacting. By my 3rd week, when I finally felt ready to search for an alliance to join, I already had figured out I'd wanted to be in Warr,Inc83 simply by the interactions of it's members in World Chat. I wasn't sure they'd take me in since they where ranked #2 at the time (Currently holding #1) and I was still a noob but through their generosity and kindness I was accepted into the alliance. Within the first hour of joining I mentioned to my Alliance leader naxxxxie that I wasn't a very talkative person and probably wouldn't speak much in Alliance Chat. She set me straight almost instantly, forcing me into every conversation for the next few hours. It wasn't long before Id gotten to meet most of the members of Warr and I realized that there wasn't one person there I hated. Over the course of the last year (roughly), I have seen many people come and go from the alliance and have enjoyed the company of each of them. I've met many great people all with their own personalities and stories which have helped keep Alliance Chat interesting and often times filling World Chat with crazy discussions and laughter. It was through the Alliance that I stumbled upon my girlfriend. I hadn't been looking for a relationship after having been through several online in the past but we quickly connected and before long we where dating. Though it is still early in the relationship, I'm feeling very optimistic about it and hope that it continues to grow stronger with each passing day the same as Warr has despite being on a nearly dead server. As we move forward into the future I hope to have many more great memories from those I now refer to as my "Family" and I hope that Warr continues to grow and conquer after the merge the way they have grown and conquered server 89 since its birth.
