Alliances and Merging.
To leaders of an alliance:
I encourge you to always, always, always, think everything through before saying yes or no. This applies quite well in merging, after all, you want what's best for your alliance do you not? Just a warning because sometimes being asked to merge isn't always a good thing. Some of you may have found this out the hard way, but to those of you who haven't, I'll share an experience of mine, but i won't point fingers or anything like that, just an outline. When asked to merge two things are said (even if they aren't actually said out loud). ONE: They truly do wish to have you and your members join and help you. (or) TWO: They just want to get rid of your alliance. The most plain reason for wanting the second choice of the two is probably because they are jealous. Ever since the "new" way to climb the rankings has come, it is harder for some to hold a mine and stay in the top and if your alliance has managed to maintain a mine longer or just maintain a mine period, that will arouse jealously. However, I AM NOT saying you shouldn't take a mine, by all means take it and work with it as long as possible. All I AM saying is that if you succeed, jealously may become an issue. Not being a hater here, just a fair warning.
